Theres no reason why it couldn't be a great game, but you are right often these things are disappointing.

I don't care how much it sucks - if it does. I plan on snapping it up on release day to once again show my support for a great show. Pity Fox Interactive is somehow involved. It pains me that those f*ckers will get some dough from this after the way they crapped on the show.
Release in June. I'll be there.

Game sounds like it'll be like The lost Vikings.
I wish the Futurama Atari 2600 homebrew had continued myself.

I played it a bit.. last week or so. I found the hammer as Frye then turned it off. I'll play it again a bit more later. It seems ok and does look good. I hear that if you finish it, it compiles the cut-scenes to what amounts to a new episode of Futurama. I'm intrigued.. :D

Here's the scoop from IGN.com:

According to the reviewer, it's basically a Futurama episode cleverly wrapped around a substandard platformer. It's sort of like Simpsons: Road Rage in that the game isn't so hot, but the characters make it worthwhile.

Does anyone besides me rember when Tim was making a Futurama hack? They told him that he will getg in trouble unless he stops making it. I guess this is why.

Me! Me! I remember! O_O Yup, this game is the reason that Futurama 2600 never saw the light of day.
....Or did it? :hmm:

Rumor I heard is that there's a Futurama 2600, placed in the prototype mahogony Venture II box, and buried in a time capsule set to be opened in the year 3000, when Fox's copyrights will surely have expired...

Does anyone know if there's a difference between the PS2 and XBOX versions at all?

The only drawback being that those of us who were waiting to see that game will have expired too. :hmm:
