I was thinking about something like this list: http://1up.com/do/feature?pager.offset=5&cId=3152604
but I want to add to it. Any weird/unique japanese SFC games that never saw the light of day in the US, that might be worth importing, or ones that are relatively unheard of. Preferably ones with little text, but if its really unique, tell me about it!

Wrecking Crew '98 (update to the classic)
Wonder Project J (rpg probably more well known, but unique nontheless)
Motoko Chan No Wonder Kitchen (Cooking game about mayonaise!?!) see http://www.encyclopedia-obscura.com/gamesprodplacement.html

Excellent ! This is a great idea, I'm always looking for obscure Super Famicom titles (I have quite a few reviewed on my site though) !!!

Here's some of the ones I know about:

Battle Zeque Ken (nice beat'em up)
Macross Scrambled Valkyrie (The best Macross shooter I've played)
Dezaemon ( a nice 2d shooter editor)
Cho Mahou Tairyku Wozz ( an excellent RPG )
Marchen Adventure Cotton 100% (excellent shooter)
Pop'n TwinBee (this one came out in Europe though)
Umihara Kawase (excellent platform game)

Bahamut Lagoon is a famous SFC exclusive. There's probably 873 others, though, on the low side ;)

Raccoon Lad

There's a SNES Tetsuwan Atom game (Astro Boy)
Never played it, though.

Theres a few...

#Any of the puyo puyo games. Although one of these did come out branded as a kirby game.

#Super Famicom Wars. It's the prequal to advance wars on GBA/DS . Try finding one on Ebay, you'll be forking out over $100 for it.

#Romancing Saga 3. Square RPG, harder than Final Fantasy apparently. Theres a translation rom around on the net somewhere if you want to have a go.

Very interesting. I knew about Dr. Robotnik's Bean Machine for the Genesis, but not about this Kirby Game. Would you remember the game's title ?...

no, wait, I just found it, it is Kirby's Avalanche ! ...

So, there's something interesting here... two games seem to exist, they have the same cover, but one of them is called Kirby's Ghost Trap and the other one Kirby's Avalanche...

Dragon Ballz Fighting Games
Parodius games
Twinbee games
Goemon games

Im pretty sure Mystical Ninja is a Goemon game :) Parodius, Twinbee and numerous of DBZ games were released in Europe for SNES so they are not SFC exclusive.

I googled it and it looks like Ghost Trap was the PAL version, and Avalanche the US/NTSC version. Is this correct ? Thanks Jajaja and theMot for the info ! I was confused at first 'cause it looks like the PAL version had two different packagings, a yellow one and a black one...

iron commando is a pretty cool beat 'em up that doesn't get brought up much. you even get to use guns in it time to time.

u.f.o. kamen yakisoban another beat 'em up. this one is basically the equivalent of going into mcdonaldsland (you remember from the old mickeyd's commercials) and punching fry guys and etc. in the face. it was a promotional title for a ramen noodle brand. i wish companies would make seriously badass promo items like this these days.

armored troopers votoms: the battling road basically, it uses the mode 7 effect to create something like virtual on mixed with mario kart. you have arenas you move around on and defeat enemy mechs. neato.

cosmo police galivan 2 - arrow of justice a meh beat 'em up. worth maybe $10, but don't blow too much on it. the gameplay isn't very satisfactory.

edo no kiba an interesting beat 'em up / strider-ish type of game. robots, explosions, etc.

genocide 2 a badass mech side-scroller. the graphics have a very nice effect going for them, too.

bastard!!! a mode-7 versus fighter. encylopediaobscura.com has an article.

hana no keiji a very obscure versus fighter with dynasty-warriors era characters.

matsumura kunihiro den a wacky versus fighter with giant heads and digitzed graphics. its worth at least $10, and you can always find a copy on ebay.

zoku: the legend of bishin a weird combinaton of f-zero style racing and one-on-one fighting.

Zoku's racing sequences suck.

Also, Genocide 2 is also on the x68000. Will give a report on that whenever I get the game later this year! I imagine that version's much better.
