I wonder why Halo 2 was delayed, I'm sure there are many reasons, well as long as the final product turns out better, that's all that matters to me :)

I can't imagine Microsoft being too happy.
I mean, I love my Xbox, well, I love the few games that I have for it. They better get something good out for it soon. I am still looking forward to Project Ego and Brute Force, but they have got to get some more development going for it.
Looking towards next Christmas, I wonder what they will have for the holidays now that this won't make it! You can't sell a system with a game that is coming out SOON...
But, I would rather have a game that is well-made rather than rushed.

I always thought it was a strategy on Microsoft's part to have Halo 2 coming out right when all the XBox Live kits were running out of their 1st year of service. I figured Halo 2 would be the killer app that would get people to renew their Live service.
It'll be interesting to see how they handle this, with Halo 2 not around for the Christmas season being a double-whammy.
As a game player (and a veteran of over 300 original Halo gameplay hours), I'm disappointed, but glad Bungie's not rushing the game out just to meet everyone's "deadline." I'm glad they're making sure it'll be perfect.
When it does hit, it'll be huge.

The only problem is how badly I want to use that Banshee in multiplayer...that's what I'm really looking forward to.

No!!!!!! I was about to buy the game this summer and now i will have to wait another year for it to come out. >:(

No telling how long the delay will be. I see on Bungie's web site they'll be showing it off at E3, at least what is complete. Thought they would have made the Xbox anniversary deadline. Gotta wonder what Microsoft will do now to mark the day. Last year was the launch of Live, but this year its up for grabs.
I'm sure Bungie will pull something great with the title, just too bad it won't make it by Christmas 2003. Guess I'll have to settle for Raven Shield in the meantime.
