Well, since they're taking it back to the CITY where it all began, it would make sense to make the first guess the specific PLACE where it all began: the Plaza Hotel, near Fremont Street. Which is AWESOME to me, because it's near the Binion's Horseshoe Casino, and I can go see where the World Series of Poker originated. ^_^

As I understand it, the specific location in Vegas is still being finalized. There's a bit of "location.location.location" scouting still in process. But I'm sure they'll have something finalized and announced within the next 9 months - if you can wait a bit longer. :)

No prob sniderman, I totaly understand,I'm basicly doing the same for VGS'08 right now(We are taking 2007 off to see if we could do it better in 2008(sort of out the books what CGE and MGC did) anywho what ever you guys come up with I'm sure it good.

It will be great to go back to Las Vegas. I also liked the Bay area, however comming from Southern California, Las Vegas is more econicomical for me. Personaly I will go anywhere in North America. Even if you held it in Toronto Onterio or Orlando Florida I would be there. Ive been back to the Plaza and I missed the sound of John’s voice anouncing the next keynote speakers. I can’t wait. Is ther anything that I can do to help now?

I will be there just like I have for the last 5 years. Not much into collecting anymore, but I love mes some CGE. Can't wait actually. :D.... some dates would be nice though, I need to get some plane tickets already.

I have yet to go to one of these conventions. I wanted to go in 2005 but with the baby coming and my father in law passing away. I couldn't afford it. How awesome is this and is it the best for classic games?

Just as long as it's in that "dead time sweet spot"--last weekend of July through the second weekend of August--I will personally be happy, as will others who are slave to the academic calendar.

So are the official dates July 28-29? That's what I'm seeing based on cgexpo.com where it says July 2007 and the countdown would put it right on the 28th. Is this official?

I hope I can make it, but I have another commitment from the 29th through Aug 3rd. The sooner I know these dates are firm, the sooner I can look into my schedule.

Those are the dates that Joe and John told me at the December NAVA meeting. Joe also said that an 'official' announcement would go out later that week. I'm still waiting for the announcement and won't start making reservations until the announcement comes out.

The hotel is CONFIRMED - and it's right on the strip this time!

I'll have an announcement on the CGE site probably tomorrow, but I don't have the hotel bookin info just yet. And you'll really WANT to hold out and book in the hotel we're running the show in because there are great incentives, especially for early bookers. As soon as I get the site links from them I'll get the CGE page updated.

Hang in there a little bit longer, but go ahead and clear your vacation days and start hunting for good plane fares because the above is fact.

Sounds like you guys are all set to have a good time. Maybe things will work out for me to go next year. Be sure and bring me back a souvenir. Oh, and everyone, please be sure to drink a lot of Root Beer for me while you are there.

T'is a pity... I've spoken to Kris (QoF) and we... haven't decided yet what we're going to do. Sadly it does mean missing out on one of them most likely as I don't think we can do both properly. Needless to say we'll hammer it out over the phone which show gets the nod...

I am afraid I have reservations (since July '06) for Comic-Con. I would have made any work arrangement to go to CGE this year but have family/friends going to Comic-Con. That really upsets me and seems a horrendous oversight to me especially given the now "every 2 year" CGE. I have attended the past 3 shows and really would do just about anything to make it. Very sorry to hear the dates. Will miss seeing everyone.
