I'm not sure if this would go in the eBay forum or here, so don't get mad at me. You can see my auctions here (http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=simpsonslaptopman&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=25) . I'm auctioning off 2 adapter cables to allow you to use PC joysticks on your Atari 5200.
Thank you, and good luck bidding!

:o Are you sure you didn't enter in the wrong price for those?!? $25 bid price, $50 BIN, are you entering the Ebay Insanity contest?
I'd be interested for like $5 each.

I'm positive I entered the right amount. Try making one yourself and see if you'd sell it for $5  . Also, show me an eBay auction for one of these that went for less than $25?
If you can find anybody that has one and would sell it for less than $15, well then, you should buy it immediately.
You don't have to bid on it, if you don't like the price, don't buy it...

These ARE a pain in the ass to put together but TBH if I was gonna buy one for that much I would make damn sure it was put together by a professional. I must say though that the PC-5200 y-adapter is probably the best joystick solution for those who don't like the 5200 stick. Hundreds of options to choose from and you can go with either digital or analog. BTW, I can put together a spare for someone for a few 5200 titles I don't own *ducks from IceCold's rage of fury*

Yeah, they are kind of a pain to build, and they take kind of a long time. I'm not going to say this is put together by a "proffessional", but it works great. I have no trouble with you making some of these adapters either, I didn't invent the idea of making them or how to make them.
If what I said came off as being mean, it wasn't intended to be, BUT
to put this into perspective: it costs me at least $2 a piece in parts(and that's if I get a great deal), and it takes like 2 hours, so to suggest I sell it for $5 is ridiculous. I would be making $1.50 an hour  .
By posting these auctions, I'm really just trying to see how much these are worth, because I've never seen one on eBay before.

Personally, I think that $25 is a more than reasonable price because I know what it takes to put one together. Not sure how many people will be willing to pay that for a "homemade" adapter though. What type of PC joystick are you using with yours? I have a cheap stick I got from Radiocrap for $10 CAN and it's fantastic.

I've used all kinds. I've got this cheapey gamepad that looks sort of like a playstation controller(not a gravis gamepad pro, this thing is way cheaper), a flight stick thing, a homemade arcade controller, etc.
BTW - I understand the whole "not wanting to spend a lot for a homemade adapter" thing, but that's the only kind of adapter you'll find, I don't think they were ever commercially made. I didn't want anybody to think that this is some rare prototype thing or anything like that.
