Sega CD Help

Anybody know what the output of Sega CD AC adapter is? I don't know if I lost it or just didn't get one, but I don't have the power cord. I notice the Genesis's AC adpter will fit, but are the voltages the same?

I don't know the exact output off-hand, but I believe the Sega CD uses the same AC adapter as the Master System and Genesis Model 1 (#1602). I don't know if the AC adapter for the Genesis Model 2 (#2103) will work at all, or if you will fry your Sega CD.

The Model 2 Sega CD does use the same adapter as the Model 1 Genesis (plus a volt, but that shouldn't matter with hardware this old). The Model 2 Genesis will not fit the port, it uses a different size connector that is decidedly nonstandard (same as the Game Gear).

I have been running a Sega CD off of a third party Genesis (ver.1) AC adapter with out any difficulty.
