how old are they?

Well heres my take on it:
Each character probably spent at least a year in pre development, so therefore one could make a rough estimate by going one year previous to the year their initial games came out.
Put a big "Circa" in front of all of these, as Im not sure exactly of the year.
DK - 1982 - 24 years old
Mario - 1982 - 24
Luigi - 1983 - 23
Kirby - 1992 - 14
Fox McCloud - 1993 - 13
Samus - 1987? - 19
Link - 1986 - 20
The F-Zero crew - 1991 - 15
All those crazy Pocket Monsters - 1995+ - 9-4, depending on their first appearances.
Ness - 1990? - 16
Thats all I can do off the top of my head, unless you meant age wise for their "Real World" counterparts. Hope this helps.

Well heres my take on it:
DK - 1982 - 24 years old
Mario - 1982 - 24
Samus - 1987? - 19
Donkey Kong came out in 1981, so add a year for DK and Mario. Metroid came out in July 1986, so add a year for her. And you forgot Pit (Kid Icarus) - December 1986 - 19/20. Other than that, you pretty much hit it. :)

if i only talked to real people you'd be one lonely fake person.
no i was just kinda curious, i got starfox assult today (was onsale and they had a non yellow lable version) and i got to thinking, fox and them are about half the age of mario but how old is mario...the only thing i have an issue with is kirbys age...seems older than that...but thats why i am asking too
