When exactly is The Wizard supposed to be released? I have heard August 22nd and August 29th. Which one is correct. What is the real release date?

Anybody know what the price is? I'm thinking of picking it up soon.

$14.99 list price, although I'm sure it will be available for less (sale) at most places, at least for a little while.

Okay. I called everyplace in the Madison area that I could think of that carries new DVDs for sale (Best Buy, Circuit City, EVERY department store, etc) and it seems that no one is going to be carrying this in their stores.

So, I went to walmart.com and ordered it there (came to a total of $14.45 with 97 cent shipping and 75 cents sales tax).

Hopefully it won't take TOO long to get here.

drats.

If you don't mind waiting up to ten days for your movies, this store is EXCELLENT. Not to mention, they have sales about twice a year where everything is close to half the MSRP. I bought $400 worth of DVDs for $150. ;P

True. I was a 12 when this movie was new at the theaters and I hated it even then. To each his own though.

None of the ones I called. The clerk said that it was only available from them online.

Pffft! I've had it on DVD for a year. Bless my computer with a DVD burner, a TV Tuner, and a 3.99 Wizard Tape from West Coast Video. It basically cost me only 5.00 to transfer. Plus, I don't think there are any special features on the DVD, so it's a waste IMHO.

BTW, YES I own the tape still. NO, I won't trade it. It took me too long to find.

No special features other than a widescreen anamorphic transfer and subtitles.

It's still better than a VHS tape. Keep it. :P
