PS One cable question...what does it do??

Ok, I picked up 2 of these from Best Buy today (they were only a penny!), but what exactly do they do? Yes, this is my auction, but I honestly have no idea what you would do with this cable. I copied the description from the back of the box. Why would you want to hook up your PS One to a camcorder?????

It's just a generic cable (made to look like a PSOne product) that allows you to use your PSOne monitor to view external devices. You can plug your TV into it too, if you so desire. I don't have this particular unit but for example we plugged a Dreamcast into the PSOne LCD just for kicks.
