Did they ever release a power glove for left-handed people? I couldn't find much information about it. Much like trying to find a left-handed raquetball glove in my area.

Funny you mentioned this, I heard someone saying the other day that one existed.
Someone who actually knows for sure will be coming up right about.....

.....now!
I never saw or heard about a left handed Power Glove and seriously doubt it never existed..
Even in a prototype version..

I also remember hearing that one exists. Just like how Nintendo didn't want to exclude people from playing games by building a controller that people with paralysis could use, I believe that they built a left-handed Power Glove.
That being said, it is defintely hard to find...

Never heard of a left-handed Power Glove, and if one exists, it must be very rare indeed. Personally, I doubt one exists. Since the Power Glove was only sold in the U.S. and Japan (very limited), was very expensive, and was not as popular as anticipated, I doubt they would have made a southpaw version. They never made a left-hand version of any other controllers that were far more popular (although both the Power Stick and Sports Pad for the Sega Master System look strangely tailored to lefties).
It looks like the controller for Nintendo's Wii may be the first true leftie-friendly controller, since it's in two parts and can be held either way.

If there is a left-handed Power Glove, maybe you had to order it direct from Mattel? The call for it wouldn't have made it worthwhile as a standard shop stock item, so maybe it was direct order only?
Maybe it's worth just emailing Mattel and asking if there ever was a LH version?

If you look on the cover of "The Wizard" DVD it looks like Fred Savage is wearing a Left Handed one.

I'll bet that was a mockup just for that picture. A quick google seems to indicate that most people assume lefties got the shaft on the Powerglove, and on all those "whose left handed" lists, Ben Savage is listed, but Fred isn't. I'd say that means the picture is either a mirror reversal (which I doubt, nothing else seems reversed) or simply a fake glove.

Well,I believe the buttons are reversed on that pic. They just left-right reversed the whole pic. I'd fathom that what's-her-name's hairline is on the wrong side too.

It was released by Mattel in the States, not Nintendo. Some other company actualy designed and made it, though.
Ever wonder what happened to certain actors? Here's the Wizard himself:

I would guess that they didn't reverse the whole photo.
Reason: the kid's fly is on the correct side, which is designed for righties as well. I assume they just used some paste-up magic to get it on his left hand.

Close scrutiny of the DVD cover shows that the words 'Power Glove' are not reversed, as would be the case if the pic was horizontally flipped.

Since the Power Glove was only sold in the U.S. and Japan (very limited)
It was also sold in Europe (France and Italy, possibly other countries as well) ;)
I've also never seen or heard of a left-handed one. I doubt it exists, but like others have said, it could've existed as a mail order only item from Mattel. [/list]

The name is on the black part that goes across the top of the hand. Didn't realize the controls were backwards.
That's a shitty pic, I'll have to get a good scan of it for you later this evening since I've got the DVD at home.
My guess is that it's simply a prop, especially if no one has ever seen a lefty glove, and no interent research has turned up evidence of one.

Hendrix played a right-handed guitar that he strung for a lefty.

I thought guitar hero had a leftie option...and then you would flip the guitar

Ok, so question to the big NES collectors:
Say a fully functional never-before-seen LH Power Glove does turn up.
Would you be interested?
How much would you go upto on the eBay auction?
Or, assuming the only LH PG in existance is a non-working film prop from the Wizard, would you still be interested, and how much $ would you throw at it?
Just out of interest.

Exactly my point, its a righty guitar, which you can't string for lefty, but you're still flipping it over. It may not be as dramatic since its an SG shape, but same idea.
