Hi, I went to an estate sale today and they had an Atari Lemans Arcade game there. It was in good condition and worked (although it was not turned on because one guy was trying to help like 100 people). Assuming it works how much would it be worth? I know that it is somewhat uncommon but seeing as it's a racing game perhaps not that desirable. I think I can pick it up fairly cheap, say for $100. Does this sound like a good deal?

I only have until the end of today so if anyone can let me know if they have any info on it that would be great. I don't see any auctions on Ebay for it, so I can't even gauge it's approximate worth.

Thanks,

Wyatt

Yes. Any working game in nice shape for $100 is a steal.

"Value" will almost always be relative for any game that isn't Ms. Pac or Galaga (or a handful of other classics) based on the demand in your particular area. What it's worth is up to you and what you want to spend on it.

Also, with B&W games of that era, you're really looking at a niche market. Most players and collectors just don't have any interest in them, so their "market value" often suffers. If it's something that *YOU* like and want to play/own, then I'd definitely say scoop that sucker up. In fact, you should probably scoop it up even if you don't want it... that whole "saving a classic" thing. There will be someone out there that'd take it off your hands - just don't go into buying it expecting to make a profit. Either buy because you want it or you want to help save it.

That said, if this sale was going on in MA, I'd beg you to tell me where it was. I'm one of those creepy, niche, B&W fans. And I don't have a LeMans ;)

Yeah, I can't say that I really want it. It's too bad I can't find someone who has something else they would want to trade for it, say and NBA Jam TE or Forgotten Worlds.

Thanks for the info, I guess you just confirmed what I was kind of already thinking regarding "value" and resale.
