Lately, I've had an interest in bootlegs for the SNES and have been looking at Ebay Brazil where there are at least 30 percent bootlegs for the SNES. It posses a question, were there "companies" (lack of a better word) which crank out the bootlegs? I notice a number of them use the SNS-TN-USA porduct code from Terminator and notice subtle consistencies in the things that they perform wrong when designing the label. The nintendo square logo is opaque and slightly tilted, most of the time they leave out the purple triangle, the rectangular bar at the top is usually red instead of purple, the pic is distorted, and the super nintendo logo is usaually twice the height of what its supposed to be. And if your going to infringe on copywrite laws, at least make it more accurate, come on!

Wisdom Tree [makers of the Wolfenstein knockoff, Super Noah's Ark, among others] come straight to mind as creators of unlicenced SNES items.

There were "companies" that made bootlegs back in the day, as in the same people would mass produce bootlegs and keep making new ones once newer games were coming out. I know with multicarts several were made by the same "company" though the carts contain different games, for the most part these people aren't making games anymore. Certainly not SNES games as they're not popular enough to counterfit anymore.

SNES bootlegs made from new parts aren't very popular generally.
Donor repros overall tend to contain better games. At the cost of destroying originals...
In most cases you're now best covered by devices like Super Everdrive. Hundreds of games taking the space of a single cartridge is nice. Besides it isn't like bootlegs are any less legally questionable than roms.
