The TV I'm looking into getting has a VGA In port for hooking up a PC. I'm wondering if I can hook up my Dreamcast with a VGA Cable or Box to the TV.

if your tv has a VGA port then you can use a DC vga box to hook up directly to your TV

oh, forgot to give you the mandatory warning that not all DC games are vga compatable so you may want to have a backup s-video or composite a/v cord. i'm looking for a vga box myself, i don't know if you have one yet or not but there are a few diffrent kinds going on ebay right now for not much money, like 10 - 15 $. the official one is expensive and pretty rare from what i can tell. i've been told the rest are of ok quality except maybe for the ones that appear to have a clear caseing. i was told to stear clear (no pun intended) of them.

Yeah most of my games utilize VGA. I plan on getting just a standard Dreamcast VGA Cable. Don't need a fancy box for a bunch of other systems because I will be using componet cables to hook up my other systems.
Been looking at this one:

FYI, Dreamcast VGA runs at 640x480. That will look like crap on most LCD TVs.
If the TV you are considering is a CRT, though, it should look marvelous.

Yeah, the TV is a Samsung DLP.

Your TV may upconvert the signal over component. I do not belive any do over VGA. It is possible you would get a better picture by later purchasing a transcoder to go from VGA to component...640x480 is low-res on modern sets.

vga box compatible games will run in 852x480 instead of your regular 640x480, so you'll see difference easily.

Well, a DLP also has a fixed resolution, so the same issues you could get on an LCD TV relating to scaling the image will apply.
