Why is it, that every time I find an N64 controller in the wild...it looks like someone dropped it from a 20 story building...a dog shit on it..and scratched up by a weed whacker...then the joystick refuses to stay in place...then when I try to open it, over 20 pieces of plastic fall out of it...which leaves over 4-6 pieces of screw bolts...because the pieces that once held them together are broken...

Damn you Nintendo for making such a piece of shit controller that has more plastic then silicon boobies..

Now if I'm going to purchase a pair of controllers that are solidly built...what brand should I purchase? I know Nintendo is the best and I know there are hundreds of people who take care of their controllers out there...but if I had an off-brand...what would you recommend?

I personally dislike all the third party brand controllers for the N64 and many other consules. I rarely find junked up conditioned controllers as you're discribing, most every one I find in the wild are just fine, just every now and then I find some that appear to have been used for Mario Party quite a bit with the loose analog stick.

I have heard about that..Mario Party and Pokemon Stadium's mini-games really abuse the controller...

Looks like I just stick with the basics and find a normal controller
