NEED QUICK ANSWERS ABOUT Disgaea 1 for PS2. Whats it worth?

Hey Guys,
My local gamestop has Disgaea 1 for PS2. Its complete and looks great. They are asking 69.99 for it, I know on ebay they gor for 80 and over. Do you guys think its worth me picking it up at gamestop???

$69.99 is an understandable price. With the sequel coming out today, the original will most likely do nothing but increase in value.

If all is well, go for it. And if you have the discount card, then it's an extra 10% off for you.

I think that's close to what it's worth. I was just checking Ebay the other day to see what my sealed copy is worth and those were going for $80-$100, so I'd say $60-$70 is about right for a used copy.

WHAT??? This thing goes already for $70??? Amazing considering that not too long ago (one or 2 years?) Best Buy and Circuit City sold it for $20 and there was no shortage wahatsoever. I saw it a couple of times new for $15.

Shows you how important it is to get the stuff when the price hits a low.

Still, it sold so well, the print run isn't low either. Isn't $70 a bit excessive? I wouldn't pay this price for it. My advice: wait, and one day you'll come across a used copy much cheaper. Never imagine you need a game NOW; be patient and it will pay off.

Yeah its odd, I breifly heard of the tiltlea few times but never really thought about it until recently with the release of the 2nd one. I would of loved to get it back in the day for 20, sucks I never knew about it, the sprites are beautiful. I think I will get it and use my gamestop card. I can always return it since it is used. If I really wanted to be sneaky I can just copy it and return it since I have a modchip but I am a collector and originals are my thing.

$70? From GS? That's insane, don't be a victim to their outrageous over pricing of games just because ebay says they are OMG ULTRA RARE OOP!

That's way too much, I mean, that $20 more than the game originally sold for brand new at a GS, EB, whatever. Wait a while, you'll find it much cheaper down the road. After all it's not rare, just in demand. I had to wait years, but I finally snagged a copy of Suikoden II for $40 from an EB.

I wonder if GameQuestDirect (remember them?) has been reprinting the game since they have it listen on their website (http://gamequestdirect.com/730865530052.html). Yeah, it's sold out (for now) but don't they only sell games that they've reprinted?

Jeez, it was available for $20 at one time? Man I bought my copy as the first game I bought with my PS2. I sold it at some point and then changed my mind about having to have it. I paid $40 for it then tho, sigh.

The game did get reprinted. It's not rare or hard to find at all (otherwise we wouldn't be seeing eighty-five thousand auctions/etc. of it for the obscene price it goes for) so I'd just wait for the demand to go down. One of the few games published in the US by Atlus that did get a reprint.

Also it wasn't just $20, it was CLEARANCED in both of Best Buy and Circuit City's first quarterly sales. So any store that had it in stock had it for $5.99 until they were completely sold out. Lots of full time Ebayers made out like bandits with that.
