Hey guys,
I was wondering if someone could help me out. I can't get my Nakitek Game Saver to work for me using Mega Man X2, there is a update code for it "2FFFE" how ever still doesn't work. Was this just for graphical issues or was this code suppose to allow you to save??

I have gotten this to work on other games so it does work in general.

Iirc, Mega Man X and X2 both used the same special chip...maybe that's why the code is the same for both games? I noticed some other games used that code too. Not sure how the codes are really constructed, though. Maybe there were different versions of the game?

The good news is, there's only 1,048,576 different possible code you can try before you find the right one.

eek, yeah I don't think I will start plugging away on that any time soon. Anyone else get the game saver saving with this game?

X didn't use a chip. X2 and X3 did. I do believe the chip on X3 was an updated version.

yeah both X2 and X3 have the chip, they both work fine with or with out the code, well playability that is. Still can't get the game saver to save the game though

well if this game saver only had the main connectors for the middle of the cart and none of the seccondary connectors off to the side then yea, it wont work.

game genies for SNES are like this too, the socket for the connector is the full sized (main and seccondary connectors) but theres no pins for the seccondary connectors off to the side.

Oh, right. Do Game Savers have these pins? I forget...

Though there was a code listed, and the game did work, just didn't save. Leads me to believe it did have the extra pins.

Game Plays fine so I am asumming it does support those chips. I just can't get the game saver to save with it.
