OK, I'm a recovering Advance Wars addict looking for more games in this genre. I've beaten AW1 and am stuck on level 20-something in AWDS if that gives you any clue as to how "good" I am. I'm already looking for Fire Emblem and FF Tactics, and Military Madness would be on my list if I had a TG16.
What say you, Digital Press? What are some of your favorite turn-based strategy games?

have you considered Age of Empires: The Age of Kings for the DS? unlike the PC series of the same name, this one is turn based... i actually haven't given it a shot yet (although i did buy it yesterday), but i have heard good things about it from people who have, and it got pretty solid reviews as well.
something to check out at least.

SHINING FORCE, young grasshopper, is a MUST PLAY THROUGH.
Right now I'm on CH 8 and really loved this game. It is more of a strategy/RPG though, but trust me it's daaaamn GOOD.

Too bad none of the Langrisser games are translated, I find them very interesting. I hear Der Langrisser (Langrisser II) is the best.
You could play Warsong for the Genesis, that wasn't hacked up to bad was it? (I don't know)

My favorites of all time are the Ogre series, Jagged Alliance series, and the original X-Com.

Warsong is the first Langrisser game, so ONE of the Langrisser games is translated (not hacked up all that badly really either). ;)
