View Full Version : Dumb question about Unpaid Item complaints (eBay).

I have two items that were sold a few weeks ago, but the buyers never contacted me nor did they send payment. I opened a complaint last weekend, and a week has almost passed. They haven't communicated with me nor have they replied to the unpaid item complaint.

If the week passes and eBay decides to give me credit for the sale... I'm wondering. If I neg the buyers, will they be able to neg me back? Even though they didn't cooperate or communicate with me?

I'm wondering because I believe it's possible... but I don't want any trouble, nor do I want any more unfair negs. (I finally broke 200 positives!)

Help?

If they do not reply to the unpaid item notice, they will not be able to leave feedback. Neg away.

True, but there is nothing stopping them from using another E-Bay account, bidding on one of his auctions and then neging him. Thats a lot of trouble for someone to go through just to leave a neg feedback but it can be done.

In that unlikely circumstance (you'd REALLY have to piss someone off for them to do this), just repeat the same procedure. If they're going to win an item just to neg you, do you really think they're going to pay/communicate?

Plus, if they leave a neg immediately after winning, ebay will remove all trace of it and possibly suspend the offending party (especially if it's a new account). This just happened to a friend of mine a few days ago.

Well, one of 'em got suspended immediately after I closed the complaint. Guess I wasn't the only one who got screwed by him. I'd search through eBay but the thing says the feature is unavailable.

The other never really bothered to contact me, so off she goes into the banned list.

Thanks for your help, all. :)
