about $200

I think I did pretty well. He didn't want to sell at first and asked if he were to sell what would I offer. I didn't want to lowball him and risk getting them. I figured he would jump at what I offered and it is an unbelievable price for those games.

I might have gotten cheaper but I didn't want to risk not getting anything at all. This also sets me up to cherry pick his ps1 games (has about 25-30 rpg's in there), and also his n64 games, has about every game for the n64.

Dude, was that a steal deal or something jeffg, because you got a LOT of good stuff, especially if they're complete. Earthbound, Ninja Warriors, Final Fight 3, X2, X3, Harvest Moon, Ogre Battle, Super Turrican 2, etc. etc.

If that copy of EarthBound is complete then you can sell it and end up getting all the other games for free.

the only bad thing is that most of the snes games were cart and box only.

So all the biggies didn't have books, the nes games had books, and some of the crappier snes games had books.

So not all complete too bad. He thinks alot of the books are in a box in the back room somewhere.

He also had some of these others, should I go get them:
Lost Vikings
Lost Vikings 2
Prehistorik Man
Battletoads/Double Dragons
Star Fox
War 2410
Carrier Aces
Ghoul Patrol
Pac-Attack
Rocko's Modern Life
Soldiers of Fortune
Sonic Blastman II
Spindizzy worlds
Time Cop (I think)
Wolfenstein 3D

Those were most of the other non-sports and non kiddy games they had left.

Anything worth picking up for $5 for game and box only thinking there won't be many complete in there?

Thanks
Jeff

Some of those are okay. The only one that really stands out to me that you should jump on at your next visit is Soldiers of Fortune. It's an R6, and a pretty decent 360 degree shooter to boot.

Today I found a few things. I got 3 NES games, Airwolf, Bayou Billy, and Cabal. Bayou Billy was cart and box, the other 2 were complete. $5 for the three. Also I found three SNES games. These were cart only. They are Battle Blaze, Shadowrun, and the best one, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. These I got for $2 each. The last item I picked up was a bare Atari 2600 Jr console for $5. All in all, not a bad day.

Legends of Zelda: Adventures of Link
Karate Kid
Faxanadu

All complete for the NES to go into my boxed NES collection.

And Paper Mario (complete) for the N64 :-P

Way to crap on his finds dude.

Anyway, the "Mini Arcade" tabletop is a Tomy Cosmic Clash (http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Tomy/CosmicClash.htm) if I'm looking at it correctly. I love tabletop arcade games and they're not that easy to come by now days, no matter the make or manufacturer. Not worth a whole lot but still cool. Does it work?

Probably all I pick up for a while, possibly until I get a job, so my parents stop complaining about me spending money.

Meh, got used to the Edit button on the old forums...

Anyway, jeffg, I overlooked them when I replied last, but on top of Soldiers of Fortune, definately pick up Sonic Blastman 2 and Prehistorik Man, both also being R6's and worth playing.

Eternal Champions Sega CD CIB
Shadowrun Genesis CIB

Both for $5, going to eBay in a bit.

I forgot to mention this in the previous post, but I also got Seinfeld Seasons 5 and 6, sealed... for $1 each.

Hmm... Tombs & Treasures is an R5, and Family Feud is an R4. Not bad I don't think.

Yeah, I know, three year old sports title, big whoop... I've enjoyed a number of 8 and 16-bit video game basketball and haven't played anything beyond that, so I've wanted to check out a current-gen title, preferably on the Gamecube.

Steal of the year if you ask me!!! Most definately the best find i have seen all year! Kudos!

Me? Nothing to match up to Jeffs finds, but still here goes:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/finds2/Finds017Custom.jpg

£7.99, a bit more than i usually pay for games. However i personally think its hard to find, and in the condition its in i wasnt complaining. a good solid RPG to keep me going :) Sorted :)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/finds2/Finds018Custom.jpg

My girlfriend has just moved house and had a good sort out. She has been getting things together to put on eBay including a few games. She owed me £5, so instead she gave me Bomberman DS :)
Also she is selling her NES + Games, so she let me have the boxes i needed to complete some games :)

After reading Dangerboys review on RC De Go (which was linked in the Fav PSX Racing Games Thread, first post) I tracked down a copy of RC De Go.
I won a copy on eBay for 30p :) It was Disc and Manual only though. But well worth it :) Its good fun :)

I found what appears to be a CIB Oddysey2 at the flea market today. The seller wanted $5 for it! But it didn't really interest me...you know how I am. It was sitting under a monitor, oddly enough. Everything seemed fine, but I didn't want to risk it, especially after my sole two eBay buyers this week haven't sent me squat for payment...

A little bit of everything, a little bit of nothing, but here's what I found yesterday:

from Book Broker-

South Park Season 8 DVD set - new - $20
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection USB kit - new - $20
N64 Expansion Pak - $8
Dragon Warrior I & II - GBC - $4
Mega Man III - GB - $4
Steel Angel Kurumi volume 3 - $3
Steel Angel Kurumi volume 4 - $3
Shaman King volume 1 - $3

found at the Evansville Goodwill while searching for better games like the CIB N64 stuff I got last time -

The 7th Guest - discs (great condition!), manuals and paperwork, box - $2
K.C. Munchkin! - complete, but the box is smushed - $1
Pick Axe Pete! - R3, complete, box also smushed - $1

the Game Boy stuff, 7th Guest, and O2 games are available for trade...

how'd I do?

I'm guessing you got the second printing that didn't include the video tape. ;) I'm looking for the tape version so I can transfer it to DVD, eventually.

The 7th Guest is one of the first games I bought at the flea market. Excellent game. I also have the sequel, but disc four has ONE BAD SECTOR so it's unfinishable. :(

Playstation:
Silhouette Mirage
Baldies
Top Shop

Dreamcast:
Crazy Taxi 2
Sword of the Berzerk: Guts' Rage

All games were $2 each. The PS titles were still sealed in new condition. They looked as though a game store gave up and sold a bunch of them and a few duplicates. The CT2 is in supurb condition but the SotB has a broken case, other than that the booklet, disc and back insert are also in supurb condition somehow. There was a bunch of other games (ie. Test Drive 6, The Italian Job) that I decided not to pick up because I have so many other PS racing games for now and they aren't too difficult to find, but $2 in their condition is pretty good.

Today's finds...

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/jamcamwc3exp.jpg

JamCam 3.0 CIB, in great condition - $4
Warcraft III + Frozen Throne expansion - $3! Off to eBay!

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/records.jpg
Random albums, $1 each. Except for the one on the lower right corner, that one was $2. I really wanted that Dirty Vegas one! The $2 album was made in Taiwan and has hilarious Engrish all over it. I haven't heard it yet, but it seems promising. It's got songs by Culture Club -and- John Denver, so it's got to be good. LOL

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/sexcity4thmm23.jpg
Sex and the City 4th Season - $3
Mega Man 2 + 3 - $5 for both

I bought the JamCam on a whim, thinking "It can't be worse than my crappy pencam!" and it isn't, it's actually a very decent camera. Cheapy, too. It can take digital cards, as well, but since it's old, it requires old media to work properly. I think the pictures come out blurry sometimes due to the flash option... I need to test it more. Too bad it eats 9V batteries like chocolate...

the soldier of fortune was on the genesis which I think is very common.
The sonic blastman was #1, not #2

But I still got Fire Dogs which I didn't notice they had before. It is with box and box and cart are super clean, no stickers or nothing.

The DC games were a surprise, he found a box of about 25 but most of them were crappy sports games or the other cheap blowout junk for the system.

Morrowind

NHL 2004

All for a good price. Believe it or not, NHL 2004 is the first hockey game I've owned that actually has polygons in it. The last one was for the SNES.

I had a little find today. At a thrift, I picked up 2 Famiclone 99-in-1 game controllers. One is a Power-Joy, the other is a Super Joy III. Neither one came with an AC adapter or the cart that was supposed to come with it, but for 25 cents each, I couldn't just leave them there. Now all I need is some Famicom games and I'll be good to go.

hadn't posted this yet... no pic yet (not until i get everything cleaned well enough)

a couple sundays ago a friend of mine found on his vwmich forums somebody selling something i might be interested in... a turbografx16 with turbocd setup... and "35 games". wanted $150, which i knew was a pretty good deal, even with not knowing much about the system and all that... the problem being that i had to use money i had saved for my insurance bill that was coming LATER IN THE WEEK to buy it. luckily i was able to be a poor bastard and still scrape up enough cash by the end of the week to take care of insurance. gas prices dropping helped immensely. anyway, i get the games from this dude, and it includes

tubrografx16 with turbo cd add-on in hard carrying case
system 3.0 card (woo!)
turbo tap
2 controllers
hookups
42 games, pretty much split evenly between hucards and cds, including:

hucards.... chase hq, victory run, somer assault, double dungeons, king of casino, night creatures, newtopia 2, dragon spirit, dragon's curse, ninja spirit, cadash, raiden, d&d order of the griffon, military madness, bonk's revenge, final lap twin, silent debuggers, andre panza kick boxing, kieth courage in alpha zones, (of course), tv sports basketball, newtopia, sinistron, hit the ice, tricky kick, tv sports football, and BONK 3 <-- HOLY SHIT. the only loose hucard games are bonk 3, victory run, chase hq, and the system card.

cds... final zone 2, it came from the desert, exile, valis 2, valis 3, riot zone, john madden duo cd football, shadow of the beast, last alert (loose disk), prince of persia, dungeon master: theron's quest, magical dinosaur tour, lords of the rising sun, fighting street, ys 1 & 2, ys 3.

one problem with the stuff... after i got it home i realized that it sorta all smelled like cat piss. i've tried and have barely alleviated any of the smell. rubbing alcohol, goo gone, febreze antimicrobial "kills 99% of odor-causing bacteria!" ... i've tried it all. the odor has been there too long. so i've done a bit of research, and despite the foul smelling odor, i could throw all this shit up on ebay and easily get $600-700, if not more (hell, a loose bonk 3 hucard will hit $100+ by itself...).

now, it's the cases and manuals that smell the worst. the cases on the cd games are easily replaced as they use a normal cd jewel case. the hucards is not the same story, i can replace the front of the jewel, but not the bottom, as it's made to hold the hucard, AND has the sticker wrapped around the spine of the thing. can't replace a sticker.

so i'm kinda torn on what to do with this stuff. any other suggestions for getting this odor out?

Hey, Cauterize, I used to have those Pac-Man sheets! I finally got rid of them when they got worn...and when I graduated to a larger-than-twin-sized bed.

Earlier this week, I got my first video game since January, Tomb Raider: Legend for the XBox. Got that on eBay for $20...okay, it's not that big a deal. I also have Dark Angel coming for the Xbox...got that for $5.77.

I got NBA Hoopz from... someone. I forgot who, but it was a trade here at DP. (I should check my PMs. :P) $2. It was for the game, case, back insert and the cover of the manual, but I only needed the disc since I got the thing without a game for free a few weeks back. My personal DC collection is almost complete, I only need the manuals for Shenmue, and the manuals + insert art for D-2. :)

Playstation:
Psychic Force (CD only $1) Good find, just damn it's loose.

NES:
Snake Rattle 'n Roll (L $1)

Dreamcast arcade stick in great condition: $9

Also came across a sealed record for 25 cents:

Then there was a sealed laser disc for 25 cents:

I'm told it's a great movie and it says on the back it won 5 academy awards, can't be that bad.

I'm going to try out that Sonic & Knuckles CD now and see what's up with it.

V Five JP Megadrive complete.

Total: $45 with shipping (from Hong Kong).

Very good price since V Five goes for around $50-$75 for a mint copy. Without shipping I got V Five for $35. Even better it was totally mint and came with the reg. card. Very nice deal I got out of it.

Not many sellers at the flea market today, they were calling for rain. Only one find today. I picked up a boxed Goldstar 3DO for $20. It has a second coltroller but is missing the pack-in games. Still not a bad deal.

Had the Saturday morning off for once, so I was able to actually go out and find yardsales. My luck its been raining all morning as well, came across this

System, controller, gun, glasses things, and 18 game for 27 bucks total. My first master system, so I didn't know what was a good amount to offer. Originally the guy just had 7 games on a table with a buck a piece tag. I asked if he happened to have the system, and after about 10 minutes he comes back with the system and a bunch more games. Pretty excited, although I don't have the TV cord for it.

And then I got these from a friend earlier in the week.

My friend did reviews for ign or 1up, can't remember, a few years back, and got these 5 games plus a few others he hasn't gave me yet, from atlus. Games are Digital Devil Saga, Disgaea, Shin Megami Tensi Nocturne, Samurai Western, and Stella Deus. I've never seen anything like these before, no artwork, say trade show demo all over them, but as far as I know they are the full game. I've played about 15 hours into disgaea with no problems, and a friend of mine has played about 5 into samurai western. Any one know if these have any value?

Animaniacs Genesis CIB - fifty cents. The seller thought it was a VHS tape. :P

... that's it, really. I found a ton of Mac games for reselling, but I'll be going back for those tomorrow. And, I found a uh... Lightbringer? DC gun but left it because the seller wanted $4 for it (I offered $3 :P). I'll likely return tomorrow for it.

Wow, those have got to be worth some SERIOUS coin. Sit on them for a couple years and stick 'em on eBay, you'll have yourself a small fortune.

Yeah, there's got to be some value to those. Although to be honest, I'm more envious about your Sega Master System find vahn401. I've got 8 complete games, and still no system :(

It really depends on the game if its really going to be worth much of anything. I've got something like 15 different ones and at most have paid about 20 for the big names of the bunch that I have. They are all full complete versions of the games and are sometimes given to game stores for instore demos and the other ones are meant for magazine reviews.

That being said, if your interested in selling any of them, let me know as you've got some I don't have.

Here's what I found:

From Gamestop:
Kingdom Hearts (PS2. Greatest Hits box & Instructions, 1st Edition disc): $17

PS2 Memory Card: $20

From garage sales:
Star Wars Darth Tater (Darth Vader Mr. Potato Head!): $1

PSone System (Very good condition) w\ 2 Memory Cards and 2 Controllers: $10

Crash Team Racing (PSX, Loose): Free (Because they left the disc in the PSone I bought, though it badly needs cleaning)

A decent haul, considering it's getting harder to find PSX and N64 games around where I live.

I've got a bunch of those trade demo only copies of games. I didn't notice a difference between them and the retail version. And from what I was told they are the finished version as said earlier.

I didn't know they were valuable? I just threw all of mine in my closet lol.

Excitebike NES
1 Broken NES Controller (Could be, but I gotta open it up and clean it)
1 DC Mircophone adapter, but no mic included
