Awhile back I was giving alot of credit to Gameznflix for their incredible rental program, but I must say that in the last several months, things have really gone downhill with Gameznflix. It used to be that I would get a game that was in my que very fast, but in the last several months, things have really slipped with them. I had a good extra week after Dead Rising came out before I finally got it. Same thing with Madden. I sent back a game a week before Saints Row came out, and had Saints Row No.1 in my que for a long time. Normally, this would mean that I would get Saint's Row a day or so after the official release date. But here we are almost a week later, and it says "short wait', which means it could be another week or more before I finally get it.
This basically means that they have added tons of new customers, but haven't increased their orders to compensate. This type of shit happens all the time, but early on in my experience with Gameznflix, I wasn't having any problems like that. I was getting games right away. Sometimes on the same day as the official release, sometimes even a day early. Alot of times the next day or the day after that. But I never had to wait weeks to get any games. I guess this is what I get when I go with a rental only strategy. Just wanted to let other gamers know, that if you're looking at joining Gameznflix, you might want to think twice because the waits are starting to really get long.

I think that that's the Catch 22 with any new or small rental service. They are going to be stellar until word spreads, then they can't keep up with demand, which kills their subscription base. I don't know how it works with games as I've never done that, but it's pretty much my reason with sticking with Netflix, even though cheaper prices can be found elsewhere.

I just signed up for gameznflix and am actually really impressed. The have a shipping center litterally about an hour away from me, so I got my first three things really fast, though they weren't high demand titles (Madden 07', OutRun 2SP and Django Kill!).
Don't get discouraged though, this type of thing tends to happen with online retnal services. As a longtime member of Netflix I've had experiences where I should have gotten new movies first, but because they were high demand titles I had to wait a while.
Usually it happens because it's really hard to predict just how many of a certain thing you'll need, especially when dealing with online. A rental store can pretty easily predict how many customers they'll have at any given time, and how many titles they need to order, an online site could get viewed by millions of people a day, and anyone of them could be a new subscriber.
I'd say wait a while and see if things straigten out, if not, send them an email to make them aware of your problem. If you do that, and then other people have the same experience and also inform them, they'll probalby adjust their order amounts to keep up with demand.

You do know that the higher volume you are on a rental service the slower they ship things too you. Gamefly has publicly stated that info as well as Netflix. I would assume that other services are going to be going the same.

Off-topic as hell, but I'm assuming you saw the first Django? Total classic. There's some nice stuff in Django Kill too, especailly a sight gag during a shootout in a store. Blue Underground (the DVD studio) rules.

No, I haven't seen the first Django yet, though I've seen pieces of it and know the premise. I have it on my list, but there was a longer wait so I got that one first.

Is EVERYTHING short wait for the 360 on Gameznflix? Jesus Christ. I tried to rent launch titles and still everything was "short wait." Do they have like 2 copies each of every game or what? I'm not even thinking about using them to rent movies (going with GreenCine once I pick up my new receiver), I just want to rent games from them, but from the looks of it, I'll be rebilled by the time my first games arrive.

I'm guessing as the 360 has sold more and more, Gameznflix has added tons of new members who wish to rent 360 games. It took me a very long time to finally get Saints Row. I got Saint's Row either Friday or Saturday. Actually I think it was Saturday, but it seemed like an awfully long time after it hit retail. Now I'm going to be waiting for Lego Star Wars 2. We'll see how long that one takes.

Well, it looks like my anger was rather hasty and short-lived. Both of my games shipped out today (Lego Star Wars 2 and Amped 3). I'm gonna have to up it to the 3 at a time deal so I can have Just Cause when it releases.
