I bought Star Wars Galaxies: The Total Experience for the PC used. The price was too good to pass up, and I'm new to PC online games so I didn't know any better. Once everything was installed and ready to go, it prompts for the Username and Password.

Uh-oh.

Is there anything I can do to void the previous account and start a new one with the same CD Key? Or anything else??

Unfortunately for you, there was a reason the price was too good to pass up. Unless you have thier user name and ID, I don't believe there is anyway to bypass it. You're going to have to have a new set of registration codes to get this going.

Never buy used MMO's. And never buy SWG as it is one horrible game now which is a sad sad sad thing.

Oh bugger. It was bought from a bookstore that also sells software, so it looks like I have zero possibility of connecting with the original owner.

I wish I had known better, especially now after doing all the research and seeing that buying new is a must. But I guess I'm spared from the horrible gameplay seeing as how Sony has taken a dump on SWG players in the past couple years.

Out of curiousity sake, do they sell CD Keys for games like this?

Truth.

I was really excited to get it but after a week of flying around to boring, repetitive tasks, I stopped playing it. What a pile of shit. I had enough of:

Random man: “U R JEDI?”

Me: “Yup”

Random man: “What Lv?”

Me “21”

---ZAP!!!---

Guy beats the shit out of me and runs off.

Yes they do...with brand new copies of the game. :D

Unfortunately no, they do not just sell registration codes by themselves. It increases thier overhead to sell it like this, but in the end it's slightly more profitable than how much they can make selling codes themselves.

If it's any kind of a reputable store, won't they take it back? Even if it was dirt cheap and they have a "no return on software" policy? I can't imagine they would make you keep a game that isn't just defective but 100% will not work.
