Rez Trance Vibrator wanted.

I've been wondering if we could just make our own. Has anyone seen any technical details on the Trance Vibrator? It would be nice if it all did was basically switch the vibration on and off. So you just hook a vibrating device of some sort up to a USB cable, and there you go. I can't imagine that they would have made the Trance Vibrator a very sophisticated device, so it ought not take much to build a replacement.

I want a Special pack Trance Vibrator setup too. According to the info I've read, the Vibrator keeps time with the game, matching up to the music. I doubt you could do this with a quickie wiring job...just a hunch :)

Anyway, I'd swap some good stuff for one as well!

I still think a surrogate could be made fairly easily. While it does vibrate in sync with the game, I can't imagine it would be done through anything more complicated than simply pulsing a signal. I mean, it isn't like they were going to pump some complex data stream to the device and then have it pull from that stream instructions on how to vibrate. All the game is probably going to do is tell the thing to vibrate or not, maybe at different strengths. It's at least worth a USB cable to find out...

As far as I know...

There were ONLY third-party ones. The ones that came packaged with the game were made by Ascii. The TranceVibrator came in the Extremely Limited Set (1000 made) and the Limited Set (???? made). Then, Ascii released a number of them sold and boxed separately.

I got the latter version, but it isn't available for trade. I have my friend in Japan desperately looking for one, but can't find them.
