I've always wanted to play Pop'N but I never had a controller for it. Don't want to get anything other than a ACS though. I think I saw a few people selling some here a while back, so I thought I'd ask around and see if anyone had one for sale before I start shopping around.

BTW, is there any difference between the official Konami ASC and the Desktop Arcade/Ransai controllers?

Bump

BTW, even if you don't have an ASC for sale, post here with your opinions if you've ever played with one. I never used one or played Pop'N in the arcade, so I have no idea how they compare.

I've got one and it's a bitch to use, I've seen the arcade versions and the buttons and layout are bigger, which in my opinion would make it easier to play. It's fun, but difficult.
Cheers

Wow. Are they really that bad? All the comments I've read from DA and Ransai owners were very positive.

I mastered Bemani games, and I own official Japanese Konami Controller, it works great, so if somebody has problems playing it with standard controller - pretty much suck at some point, becaue I've heard similar complaints with Drummania Official Konami Controllers and some Beatmania Controllers - well never had a trouble playing any of these games using official Konami Controllers, so its rather matter of practice and getting used to it.
Arcade Controllers are bigger and more comfortable but they are like x times the amount you're paying for regular official controller.
you would have troubles playing using third party products though, I had 3rd party maracas for SDA back in the day and they did suck badly.
