Maximum Carnage Cards (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=014&item=330024283817&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1)

Like the title says. I'm interested.

Well...based on the fact that they say 'Acclaim' on them, I'd assume either they came with the game when it was new or they were a bonus you had to send away for.

I'm pretty sure that it didn't come with the game in any version, Genesis or SNES. You maybe right on the by-mail idea.

Weren't they included on that special edition release that came with the comic, in a huge case?

I've got the LE version coming but I don't think they came with it either. Maybe raregamergirl's gotten hers and can tell for sure.

i know that some card series had cards like this included in the set. like you would buy a pack of 'batman forever' cards and get video game preview cards, or the like. these were possibly just a sub set of a series of topps or skybox release spiderman cards or soemthing...

I recieved my limited edition in the mail the other day (guy mailedi the slowest method in the world apparently and took forever to mail it) and it has no cards and I am 99.999999999 percent sure they did not come with the limited edition. the comic is pretty good quality, surprising considering the package was a home shopping network exclusive

The cards were shrinkwrapped with the Maximum Carnage soundtrack cassette. I have no idea how it was distributed, 'cause I got mine many years later on eBay. Maybe it was an early example of a pre-order bonus.

This site (http://abs-cards.net/checklists/food/fp_spidey.html) says that it came with the game but I can't find a single copy on Ebay right now with the cards.
