I realize not having a pic is extemely unhelpfull (lent my camera to BF) but Ill do my best to describe what Im working with.....

I have a Jail Break cocktail arcade cab I just have no room for anymore. It is flat black with some lightning bolts on the control panel. Speaking of the control panel, there are 4 usable buttons next to the joystick + 4 more buttons for who knows what (there is just one Joystick)
Obviously, this was someones project cab.

Now...the controls have been disconnected by the previous owner. It seems he attempted to add some buttons to the back of the machine to bypass the credit mechs.
At one point I knew how to finish his work...but I have epilepsy and after a few siezures, I know longer remember how to do this for sure!
I was never the best at soldering and (from what I can recall...) all you would need is to connect the wires to the bypass buttons.

Im lazy.
And forgetfull.
I will never get around to it before I have another big siezure and forget again. Im looking to sell her , but Im not sure what would be reasonable to ask for. Any suggestions?!
...or if your in Northern CA any offers will be considered aswell! :-P

I can't answer your question, but if you're looking to sell, you should post this in the 'Buying and Selling' or "Arcade Alley' forums rather than here. Good luck.

Before I posted there, i just wanted an idea of what to ask for. I just wanted to know what would be fair for this particular game, in this style cab.
Thank you.

Well, I can tell you around here it would probably go for around $100-$150.

I don't think the game came in a cocktail cabinet, so it's probably not original. The paint doesn't sound original, and the control panel sounds fairly hacked up. The fact that the controls aren't hooked up brings it down even more. Also, it's not JAMMA and not a classic, two things that would make it worth more. As a stand up cab with a good pcb and monitor I would guess it would sell for around $75-$100, so I'd guess a cocktail would go for around $100-$150.

I'm not too familiar with the Cali market, it might be worth more there, but that's about what I'd pay for it. It's a sucky game so I'd pick it up just to MAME it, personally, since the control panel and paint job aren't stock anymore.

Pics would definitely help, but the price you can get for it will be largely determined by a) what style cab it is (Bally Pac-Man / Galaga etc. style, Atari style, Taito, etc.) and b) what condition it's in now.

If it's in decent shape and in working order, you might get anywhere from $100-250 for it. Aside from condition, the thing working against you is that Jailbreak PCBs are a dime a dozen and the game isn't popular today, so it would most likely be purchased by someone looking for a project cab on the cheap.

Actually if it's a price check it would go in the Antiques Roadshow thread. I think it would be in better hands in the Arcade Alley forum though so I'll send it there.
