Happy 7th birthday for the DC in the USA. I always remember as I was married to my wife one year later.

To the second greatest system of all time!
(and I dont mean that sarcastically, I really hold the little white box in high regard, its only second to the snes imo)

One of the best days of the year far as I'm concerned.
Already played through gunbird 2, and some puzzle fighter and samba de amigo. Much more to come.
I saw a thread where folks debated about when the SNES was released. Since there didn't seem to be a definitive answer I'll wish the SNES, PS, and Dreamcast happy birthday!
I bought two DC's at launch. First and probably last time that'll happen!

Happy birthday great old buddy. 7 already, darn!
The weird thing is, I started playing the DC again today and bought like 4 games for it not even knowing it was it's anniversary!

What are you talking about? We all know it came out August 23, 1991. Just kidding -- I read that topic too and know what you mean :P

Time for cake!

So far I've spend the day playing Chu Chu Rocket, Bomberman Online, Giga Wing and Jet Grind Radio. Too bad I have to work today or I'd play it straight through the day. 8-)
I remember when I got my Dreamcast. I got the Sports System (2k bundle pack) on clearance for $50. The system in about mid-death when I got it, so I was able to snag up a lot of games from the store on the cheap. I also found a store kiosk a couple of years back in someone's garbage:

Off to play some ikaruga and mk gold!

Still love my Dreamcast. I was a latecomer (Got my 1st one in 2003) but fell in love with it really fast. My appreciation has deepened even further owing to its excellent emulation capabilities, which I've only gotten seriously into in the past few months.
Happy B-Day to Sega's last and best console!

Happy birthday, Dreamcast! :D :bday: :D :bday:
The rest of the globe may have forgotten about ya, but me and a few others still know who ya are! Thanks for all the fun you gave (and still give) with games like Street Fighter III, Gunbird, Phantasy Star Online, Sonic Adventure, and NBA Showtime: NBA on NBC. Heck, I even like your audio CD player mode.

I've had my DC hooked up for weeks, but due to my funky work schedule, I have been totally ignoring it... I may fire it up tonight for some late-night fighting goodness.
Happy 7th birthday, Dreamcast! If only we had met sooner (as in before I rescued you from the Book and Music Exchange just before they stopped selling Sega paraphernalia).

I bought a Dreamcast solely for its emulation capabilites, but I did pick up a few titles for it, Crazy Taxi and Sega Bass Fishing, which I really enjoyed as well. Happy Birthday DC!

It is a good system. Very Underrated in its time. The Dreamcast in my mind is the last great 2d game console unless the Wii turns into that.

Yay! Happy Birthday, Dreamcast! :bday:
Actually on 9/9/99, I had FFVIII on preorder. :P But I ended up getting a Dreamcast later on JUST so I could play Resident Evil: CODE Veronica. Then, I discovered other awesome titles like Power Stone, Soul Calibur, Sonic Adventure, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing, etc., etc.
Happy B-Day to SEGA's 2nd greatest console! 8-)

This system hurts me. My Dreamcast was given to me as a gift by my ex-girlfriend, who I parted with in less than friendly terms.
I still took it out a few minutes ago, and played a bit. I still feel sucky for doing so.

Yep, the DC is a fine and wonderful machine. And the only console I've kept since the mass clear out.
We still have the 12 Goat Store games to look forward to over the next year or so. And hopefully, Milestone will grace the little wonder-box with a conversion of the new Naomi shooter 'Karous'.

Buy the black one so it doesn't even look like the system she gave you.

Woo! Another time to celebrate the Dreamcast - I don't know if I can be bothered to play it though - although since I live in PAL-land thats understandable. Maybe on the 7th anniversary of the PAL release I will get it out and play the 2 games i bought on that day, I have fond memories - i might even put snake on the VMU like i did that day and play it on the bus again :)

I lost track of all the NFL 2K1 seasons I played on this baby during my final year of college in 2001. Fun times those were. I feel bad about waiting to buy one until after a lot of the support was cut. However, that is often my habit with any console. Happy (late) Birthday DC! :D
