Today is also the 11th birthday of the Playstation 1 in the US. Still one of my favorite systems, before Sony got to be so cocky. Sure the game have their jaggies and load times, but some of the best RPG's and action games are on this system. Once again, happy birthday!!!

I should play some No One Can Stop Mr. Domino today to celebrate. It's certainly the best PS1 game of all time. :)

Happy birthday, Playstation! :D :bday: :D :bday:

I always liked you and your game library. You have a few of my favorite '2s' such as Bushido Blade 2, Twisted Metal 2, Ace Combat 2, and Tekken 2.

Other games such as Syndicate Wars, Grand Theft Auto (1, 2, 1969 London), Intelligent Qube, and Raystorm were pretty darn good too!

It's got the same birthday as my ex, what a laugh!!

I had more fun with my PS than with her, in hindsight.

w00t! Happy B-day, PlayStation! :bday:

I was lucky and got mine from my brother with FFVII and Final Fantasy Tactics a few years after the system's release. So many great memories with that system..Bushido Blade, Destruction Derby, Silent Hill, Syphon Filter, Resident Evil, Dino Crisis, Legend of Legaia, Metal Gear Solid, Symphony of the Night, I could go on and on...

YO! Happy b-day Playstation

I just recently got an old dualshock PSX '97 model working.

One of my friends practically gave it to me since it hadnt worked in over 4-5 years X_x

I have been using it to play the few remaining original PS1 games that I never sold or traded off: RE1,Silent Hill,Metal Gear Solid,Wipeout XL and the Raiden Project.

Also using the PS1 to play through FF tactics for the first time since i started it on my PS2 but I hated to put soo many hours play time on my only "new" system since I no longer have my Xbox or Gamecube :(

Scalero that is all a matter of opinion, being a Pal gamer my thoughts
on the NES are far far far from being the best system ever or even
in its generation, that belongs to the Master system, but hey
as I say IMO.

Eleven years is hard to believe. I got my first one right after Final Fantasy Tactics came out (I'll have to google that date...) from a member of rec.games.video.classic who was selling theirs off for $80. I wish I could remember the name, because they're probably posting around here now.

FFTactics, Silent Hill, G Darius, Twisted Metal... all games I put too much time into back in the day. All this time later, my collection for the system is pretty huge.

Hell, I just got one of these about 3 months ago. Happy birthday destroyer of Sega and thanks for taking videogames away from the geeks and giving it to the kids that beat geeks up. (I'm only sort of kidding)

The Playstation is one hell of a system, and one that changed gaming forever. While there was a ton of shovelware on the system, it also had EVERYTHING ELSE GREAT on it as well. Every type of game covered greatly, from Arcade to RPG. My all time favorite on the system is Tekken 3.

I won't say the Playstation was my favorite system but thanks to thrift shops and backward compatibility of PS2, I own eight working (and complete) Playstation 1 units. All of them various models of the first design (not the smaller PSOne's). It wasn't until a few years ago, 2003 or so, that I received my own PS1 console but it's been a good one to me. Never did get a Playstation 2 so this system still is vital to my game library, since I have no other place to play my PS1 titles.

The best Sony system, and a good one. Regardless, the things it brought about in the video games industry are more bad than good in my mind.

Regardless, a good 11th to the Playstation and an even better to the Saturn.
