This week marks the fifteen year anniversary of our beloved organization (now corporation). It all began in front of an Atari 2600 between two buddies wondering "is anyone else out there playing this old stuff?" Our first publication launched to about 100 contacts on this date in 1991.

Let us party.

Let us celebrate this milestone with the joining of chocolate to milk.

Happy 15th birthday. Next year you'll be old enough to drive.

Can I have a ride to the mall?

Congratulations Joe! I can't think of anything that has more of an impact on my contacts in the gaming community, my gaming knowledge, not to mention my collection, than Digital Press. Kudos on creating something that is truly special!

Congratulations Joe from me too. We know each other since 1992, and what a long strange trip it's been (Remember Belgium?).

Here's to another 15, long may you run.

Rather odd coincidence this is roughly the same time as the birthday of the PS.

They say people are most likely to be born in the autumn [northern hemisphere] months, but that hardly explains it.

As soon as this god forsaken quarter is over fo rschool, i'll be drinking heavily to celebrate.

Granted...that's about 2 wine coolers for my tolerance, but still!

Happy Birthday to the big DP! I, for one, never stopped playing the "old stuff". From my first CGE in 1999 to signing up on this board in 2003, I am immensely grateful to know that there is a thriving community of like-minded folk.

Looking forward to the next 15...and the 15 after that...

Congratulations on 15 years. I first heard of DP back in the late 90's, on the internet or that was in 2000. When DP started out I was playing and buying 2600 and 7800 games at flea markets and at stores that had them for clearence. DP helped me get an idea how rare my games for a bunch of systems are. DP has been great for its guides and found a place for long time gamers who still like to play their old games and have played video games for a long time. Keep it up!

Congrats to all involved, and in particular to the guys of the first hours of DP!

Something great came out of it when two guys sat together and asked themselves which games and how many are actually released for a game system.

What I like about the guide and this site can be summorized in one sentence: shared enthusiasm about games and great and reliable information about games past and present.

Enthusiasm coupled with a collectors love for detail is contagious and changed my attitude towards games and collecting habits. No matter which issues are addressed, there is always someone on this site who can give hints and answers...and the concentrated knowledge base of the DP Guide and the fresh contributions in the DP 'zine are anyways more worth than tons of books written about games.

In the last couple of months I was terribly busy so I didn't post as much as I used to...but I look the site up once a day and read it. It is just too good to be passed up.

15 years, huh? Jeez...

I remember getting the paper 'zine back around 93 or so, became a staff writer in 96, senior editor 8 years later.

It seems so very long ago, but it's been a labor of love.

Print is NOT dead, here's hoping the 'zine one day goes pro!
