You guys never played The Adventures of Batman and Robin, did you? It was probably the last Batman game that I actually enjyoed.

Anyway, hopefully Lego Batman will be as enjoyable as the Star Wars Lego games.

"The fun of LEGO Star Wars was seeing all the familiar, bright, colorful settings, along with the wide range of characters. Batman doesn't have the same kinds of settings (a LEGO Gotham, over and over, will get boring) and Star Wars characters lend themselves more to being "cute". A cute LEGO Chewy, Fette, or Lando is funny. A LEGO Joker, Robin, or Penguin don't sound as appleaing."

I used to own it. I got bored halfway through and never back, and eventually wound up trading it away. Though it followed the animated series pretty well, I felt the game was just average at best. At least it wasn't another Dark Tormorrow or Rise Of Tin Szu, though...

Will this game have variety? Will it have the dynamic duo?!

In other words, can you choose which style of Batman you can have? Since Lego Star Wars 1 and 2 has pretty much everything from each chapter.

Would be interesting to mix 1930's batman, with Batman of the 80's....and then for kicks, get to compare the Batman Begins with Batman (1990)

Batman Begins wasn't THAT bad a game, pretty fun in some places. Just way to linear.

I've got an update: according to this report on IGN (http://ps3.ign.com/articles/776/776141p1.html), Lego Batman is in the works, confirmed by Warner Bros. and due for a 2008 release on "next-generation and current generation platforms and the PC."

Eight years ago I studied a tribe in the Tumucumaque Mountains in Brazil who looked remarkably like these Lego characters. Broad shoulders, rugged legs, could attach themselves to just about anything. One extreme contradiction between the two: the Tumucumaque tribe was extremely mean-spirited. You'd never find then smiling like a Lego toy ! Ironically the toys they play with are soft and round and filled with a warm red liquid substance.
