Since i have no experience using these things i thought i should ask for some help here.

Recently my tv broke and i can't play any games anymore except for some games on my pc. Why not just buy a new tv? well i'm a poor student and i have a nice 17" tft standing here. LOL

I went to playasia and found 3 vga boxes:
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-g5-49-en-70-4s4.html
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-g5-49-en-70-2cs.html
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-g5-49-en-70-1d2s.html

I don't really care if the quality of the games are better, i just want the best support for my pal gamecube. And it needs to passthrough from my tft screen to my pc so i don't have to switch cables when i want to use my pc again. What would be the best pick for me?

Thanks for helping me :)

Considering that you are using a PAL GameCube you probably don't have the Digital A/V port so therefore the third one isn't an option. Besides, those particular units only convert the signal from Component Video to RGB but don't upscan a 480i signal to 480p. In addition, now that Nintendo no longer makes the GameCube Component Video Cable, those cables are going to be hard to find (and expensive too).

It is of my experience with these things is that these cheap upscan converters are pieces of shit. The first unit is probably one of those. But the second one seems to be a bit better than the first one. Plus it states that you can use it on your TFT so I would recommend this particular unit.

Mind you, I haven't played with this particular unit. I am just going by the links you posted.

Great thanks that helped me a bit so the third one will drop off the list. Do you have any experience with other vga boxes? I just picked these cause i do most of my import shopping at playasia. But if you know any other reliable site that can ship international please tell me :)

You could also just get a used TV - might be a little cheaper.

Not in my country, people are always asking the jackpot for second hand stuff...
