Streets of Rage 2 ring tone... but not

I only expect fans of Streets of Rage to pick up on this, but my friend has a ring tone on his phone, and we both think it sounds just like Streets of Rage 2 music, although it isn't.

I have never before been able to say a song sounds like the music from a certain game unless it actually did, but this is an exception. I'd like to know what you think.

It sounds like generic 90's techno, which is what SOR 1+2's soundtrack was. Except SOR 1+2's soundtracks were GOOD. 3 not so much. ;)

I've noticed for the last few years that many people have some Asian music ring tone that sounds identical to the intro music when the princess gets carried away in Legend of Kage. Must be a famous tune.

Now that I think of it, there is another ring tone (or maybe its the tone that the phone makes when turning it on or off or something) that sounds like one of the songs from Shining Force 2.

I have a bunch of MD music on my phone for ringtones -- though I did put it there myself.

Maybe I'll put an SOR song on there at some point. Thunder Force IV doesn't sound as awesome as it should through that tinny speaker. :(

I've got "Magical Sound Shower (arranged)" and the level 5 music from "Lifeforce" (arcade) on my phone.

I tried some SOR music once and it sounded like utter shit.

MSS & the Lifeforce music don't sound too bad on my phone.
