If I were to buy a cabinet on eBay, and have it shipped, what am I in for? Does a guy bring the whole thing to my door in a big box? Do I drive somewhere and pick it up? Does anybody help me carry it? Enquiring minds want to know!
So basically, please share your stories of recieving arcade cabinets through the mail.

in my experiance you get what you pay for. i've never received a cab with any packing on it at all.
i've only had cabs from people i know tho, no dodgy sales ;)
also collected stuff, sometimes you'll get a lift, sometimes you won't it depends on who's selling it/delivering.

Like with any package, there are lots of options. One of those popular ones is NAVL (North American Van Lines). They will pick your game up and deliver it anywhere in the country ... for a free. IIRC you're looking at $350 or so and a couple of weeks for your game to get where it's going. The good news is, you do not need to prepare the game for shipping. I believe NAVL will deliver the game to inside your home (ground level).
If you use a shipping dock, you'll need to strap the game to a pallate and wrap it up before shipping it. Many places will do this for you for $50-$100.
