Hi all,

As the webmaster of a site about all the available console colors, I've received a tip that there was a Dreamcast console edition for Jet Grind Radio (the Dreamcast itself, like the special edition Hello Kitty ones.) Does anyone know if this is true? I've had some trouble finding anything on Google.

I have never seen this, so I don't think there was a retail version of this. However, I did once see a page with lots of unique dreamcasts that I think came from sega, so there may be an "official" one out there.

What is your website, by the way? I would love to see it.

I haven't seen one but my guess is it would've been one of d-direct limited edition console or some kind of competition prize console as there have been tons of 'em in Japan

I've seen a photo of one but IIRC it was just a custom paint job someone did. Case mod and all that jazz -- looked pretty nice, though.

Check out Berts sight here http://www.dreamcastgallery.com/dc/gallery.asp lots of lovely pictures for you to see, dont know about a Jet Grind Radio one, but it could be one of the Euro Airbrush ones that SEGA had commissioned.
Bert's a nice guy too :)

Yes it was one of the airbrushed ones. I think Ground Zero had one along with a few others.

Yep...

That JSR DC is very, very nice. In fact, if anyone on here has one, name your price (seriously). Me wants.

There's also an Airbrushed ChuChu Rocket DC that I've seen pics of too.

Thank you! I had already seen the Dreamcast Gallery site, but not the other!

So are the airbrushed ones official or unofficial? I only list official consoles, not fan-made designs. There are so many fan mods I can't keep up!

And my site is http://www.consolecolors.com :)

They were done for Sega Europe or a magazine, I can't recall which. They are not fan done, so they can be and are considered official by some people.

Believe me... If there was a limited edition JGR DC, I would have 10 of them.

:D

So in case anyone hasn't put 2 & 2 together, that's a PAL only system. :( AFAIK, this (http://www.gamengai.com/bn_inf.php?type=etc&id=1226) is the rarest official Jet Set anything. This (http://www.gamengai.com/bn_inf.php?type=promo&id=1443) is pretty cool too!

Thanks again everyone!

If you find any consoles I don't have, or get me pictures of systems I don't have, I'm happy to give you a link on the credits page of my site!
