My brother could of picked up a Turbo Duo System today for 65.00. With 2 controllers and the multitap. It was at an indoor fleamarket and the guy selling it hooked it up to show it worked. He had no games and put in a Music CD. The CD would only play track 1. My brother was not certain if this indicated a problem so he did not buy it. I would love the system for 65.00 , but I am not sure if this is normal or not. If anyone knows please reply

thanks

As far as I know, the Duo will play all tracks on a CD. Could indicate a problem, or could have been a bad CD too! Either way, a Duo for $65 is a STEAL! Bring a CD from home or something and go snap that bad boy up! :)

I say, chap, do burn yourself a game disc through illegal means, test it via emulator, then bring it and show that vendor what for!

There was a Turbo Duo for sale for $70 in New Milford, Connecticut at the indoor flea market when I was there in Dec./Jan.. It was also there this summer although the owner of it claims it is not the same one. It's probably still there if anyone is in that area.

That may be the same one. WOW Small world, any reason why you passed it up. Sounds like a good price.

I passed it up because the guy was super shady and it isn't anything I want for myself. I pretty much only collect stuff from about 1985 and before. I got into a huge discussion with him him about whether or not it had the original box because his sign said complete. He made it seem like it had the box and then he said it came in "a box" and that the original was too rare to have. I wanted to get it for about $50 and sell/trade it. I don't know too much about the value on them. I thought they go for around $100 or so and paying $70 was just too much for me. If it's the same guy though make him a lower offer. It has definetely been there since this summer. Good luck.

Connecticut, eh? And here I sit, states away. Curses.

Yet I must say that $65 is a great price, even if the unit's only good for parts. A flea market vendor in my area wanted $200 for a boxed system.
