Boogerman: Does this game work on Genesis Model 1?

I have a loose cart of Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure, and I've tried it in two different Genesis Model 1 systems, and I can't get it to work on either one. I've cleaned the contacts really well, and I was wondering if this was one of a handfull of Genny games that don't work on Model 1 Genesis systems?


Or is my cart just damaged or something and it just won't work? I've got a Genny 2 in my Garage somewhere, I'll have to dig it out and give it a whirl, but I was just wondering if any of you guys have had problems with this game working on Genny 1 systems.

My copy works on a model 1. I know the some of the early EA games like populous and zany golf wont work unless you do a soft reset using a different game first.

What did you clean the cart with? I assume you opened it up and used something like a white eraser after trying 99% alcohol.

Sometimes the contacts get a weird corrosion that alcohol cant get off, and that an eraser is barely able to remove after some work. The corrosion is hard to see under light too, it takes the shine away but isnt that usual dark color which stands out.

Out of the hundreds of genesis games i have tested and cleaned only 1 or 2 didnt work even after that.
