I just got the Playstation game Sorcerer's Maze, which is a Breakout/Arkanoid-type game, and I tried using a PS mouse with it, but it doesn't seem to work - or at least it won't work on the main menu. It's a 3rd party mouse, in case that makes a difference. Does anyone have both this game and a PS mouse that has actually used the mouse with it?
Are you SUPPOSED to be able to use the mouse w/ it?
IIRC mouse-compatible PSX games are few & far between, & Sorceror's Maze is a newer/later title.

I don't know if it says mouse compatible in the manual - I bought it used and only got the disc, but I saw an old thread here that mentioned it might be mouse compatible.

It would have been nice if Warcraft II were mouse compatible like the Command & Conquer.

Looking at a back scan/shot of the game I don't see a "mouse compatible" icon on the back. Although that is a PAL picture do you have NTSC or JP incase they gave it an exclusive region option?

It's a US disk, but I have other games that don't mention mouse compatibility but can actually use it, so I thought this might be like that too.
This is the thread I saw the game mentioned as possibly being mouse compatible:

Maybe they were just guessing because of the style of the game. Well I was just hoping someone else had this game and had tried it with a mouse.

Well some games might have code that accepts the mouse but indirectly. For example, the ball just tells a curser on the screen to go left, right, and many angles plus the speed of movement. Some games may not care and can run just as such and only play with 2 buttons, just happens the mouse has 2 buttons as well. :) Would be interesting if someone that has a complete or members with large PS1 collections to test and see what games can use the mouse and don't advertise as such.
