Need help with Legend fo Zelda - Second Quest

This is for mny 82 year old grandmother, shes playing Zelda through for the first time in 15 years, she even beat the first quest with none of my help. Sooo, does anyone know where you can locate the old woman with the note that lets you buy medicine, on the second quest.

On the other hand, if you're just too embarrassed to admit you need help, and you're using this whole grandmother story as a lame excuse, I think that's absolutely hilarious.

No, I got her a DS lite with some classics we used to enjoy back in the day, plus NSMB. I even have our original Adventure of Link cartridge with the same old game save. She's a Nintendo fan, Nintendo Power subscription and everything.

NES Game Atlas is your friend. Maps and info galore...including the 2nd quest.


I wish i could be of more help but i never bothered to play the 2nd quest.

NES Game Atlas is great for the Legend of Zelda games. There's a TON of false information and errors in its Castlevania coverage though.

The Old Man with the Letter in the second quest is in square B2 towards the far northwest of the map. The Old Woman that sells Medicine can be found at D4, E7, I8, E1, H3, L5, and N1.

The letter is in the upper left area of the map, theres two screens with 10 rocks in a sorta arrow setup, you need to have the power bracelet to get there (go through the lost woods n w s w)
