3. gran turismo 2
4. gran turismo 3: a-spec
5. chrono trigger
6. virtua tennis
7. dig dug
8. the legend of zelda: ocarina of time
9. tony hawk 4
10. the sims

i am very young and was not around during the atri age, or anything like that.
so, that is why most of my favorite games are recent.

Alright, here's my latest version of the Best. Games. Ever. list. BTW, wouldn't it be better to list a "top 20" instead? Much like the movies, there are too many great games to cram into only ten slots.

Another note: there are obviously some games I haven't played yet, like the GameCube greats. Maybe I'll end up putting the 3D Marios and Zelda together.

Is everyone distinguishing between "best" and "favorite". Goldeneye 64 is one of my favorites, but I don't know if I'd put it on a list with the Robotrons and Metal Slugs of the world.

At one point, yup. But try getting a top 100 list off of people. It takes *way* too much work for me to bother, and I'm sure others feel the same. Ten is a nice small number.
