Mario Galaxy and the running upside down. I finally got used to it, but for a while it was pretty tough to play for any serious length of time.

Also, as mentioned before, the Virtual Boy, and most first person shooters.

I'm also stricken with this motion sickness affliction with any 3-D game and even some 2-d ones where the back and/or foreground moves too disproportionate to the main scenery. I do find that it seems that this problem is much more common with people 30 and above so you teens and twenty-somethings very well might have this nasty little malady to look forward to in your near future. So enjoy all of those fancy games while you can.

I totally agree with DarthKur - I used to play FPS and Tony Hawk games (my fav) for hours, now I can't stand 20 minutes without hurling. It started in almost the day I turned 30.

This is part of the reason I am so into classic games.

I've never gotten motion sick from a game. Key word is MOTION sick, There are probably a few games that disgusted me.

All First-Person Shooter games that aren't named Halo give me a huge headache.

Hell, Halo's campaign gives me a headache. But I'm perfectly fine online.

18 months after my original post (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1075659&postcount=16) on the subject...Nope. Still no motion sickness for me. I retain and still assert my claim to genetic superiority.

Never noticed this thread before.
Motion sickness or general true illness when watching a video game has happened to me only once. It was during WipeOut Fusion on my friends PS2, what a lousy feeling that was.

Super Monkey Ball is the only game that gives me motion sickness.

Merging this topic with an older thread on the same topic.

Wow, that would probably make me a little queasy too.

I don't get motion sickness but I do get a sense of vertigo every know and again, In flight sims or something that to that nature. In Mario Galxy on the small planets that you can long jump around I get it too. It's not upsetting just a strange feeling.

Yeah, I'd have to say most first person shooters give me nausea. I figured this out with GOLDENEYE and TUROK on the N64. I also had a slight problem with JUMPING FLASH on the PS1. Most recently I had a big problem with ELEBITS on the Wii. I really wanted to barf. No FPS games for me!

I've never gotten motion sick from any console game...

however If I would jump off a cliff or long jump down(like tier 3 of potime, stoneroot or jumping down in Deathknell) in everquest I would have to close my eyes because it would make me nauseous.

Only time I have ever gotten motion sickness from games is the occasions where I am really drunk. But most of the time the motion helps the spinning stop. haha
