Anyone else seen this monstrosity at Target? Damn thing is huge and expensive, but also very cool looking. It's $200 in-store last I checked, but $150 online.

Cool stuff :) Possibly a future rarity also.

So how does this compare to Real World Golf using the GameTrak?

Very interesting. It says that you can simulate with any club, I wonder if you must tell it what you're using to properly calculate your hit and render your onscreen character, if you have one.

Given that this uses a real ball and real clubs, I would have to assume that it's better. That and the golf engine in Real World is weak too.

I dunno about most people, but I don't have the ceilings to swing a golf club indoors. Is this really reasonable?

Accidentally taking out your 2000 dollar HDTV (which is reasonable if you're spending 200 on a golf simulator) would probably be bad thing. I doubt "Golf Club" is covered under warranty.
