I've been wondering who's played Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes for the NES, In my opinion it's a sleeper hit, and one I really happen to enjoy playing. I have been reading various Gamefaqs reviews and am amazed to see how much bashing this game gets. With every review I read I noticed the game is completely misunderstood. Most don't know that it's based off of the short lived '90s tv show and you are playing as Chad Finletter and not some random boy. Everyone bashes the controls and says how hard the game is to control, I think it's tricky to time your jumps right at first but becomes easy after some practice. Everyone says this is an impossibly hard game, but once you get through the sewers you gain the ability to dash and can pretty much run past every enemy and not even have to attack them, with a little practice I found the game rather easy and finished it a few times through.

I love the graphical effects, the streetlights in the beginning and all of the detail in the tomatoes and the rest. The music is decent but not amazing. I just think the game play and level design was great, if not a little too short, it could be beaten in only like 20 minutes.

I'm curious, who's played this game, what are your thoughts and did you like it or hate it.

I for one think it's a great game and a sleeper hit among NES games.

I have. I don't like how it controls, but it was one of Imagineering's best NES efforts. The graphics do look allright, at least.

And the song wasn't that bad.

(By the way, I liked the stupid cartoon. It was funny at least, and it had Sean Astin!)

I have not played it in many years but I remember it not being that difficult, but rather fun in the variety of stages and I especially liked that it had a "hidden level" after the credits.

I was never into the cartoon but I did enjoy the game.

You know I actually liked the cartoon as a kid as well, I've never tried this one but after hearing the positive review I'm definitly gonna give it a shot

Never seen the game at the store, ever. The movie and Saturday morning cartoon however were really cool and entertaining. If it matches up to those then it is a blast. I'm sure one day I'll stumble across it. :)

Yeah I was a huge fan of the cartoon so it made me kind of dislike the game, but I agree that it definitely fell under the radar and I mean its not the hardest game on the NES you have ninja gaiden and top gun which are much more difficult

Well I'm happy to see that even the people that didn't like it didn't bash it. I could understand how the game may not be for all likes but I still enjoyed it anyway. I love all of the little quirks in the gameplay. despite being a little short in overall length, the level design was pretty cool too.

Never could get into it, looks to be a snazzy game, but it just didn't appeal to me.
