I have a question about the demo games in the DS units in stores, what do they look like? ive seen a meteos cart with "not for resale" on it, would that be a store demo? if not what is it?

It would seem so.

They look just like normal DS games. Except they have a Not For Resale print on the label of the DS card, thus making them Store Demo carts.

yep... they're just regular ds cards.

there's actually a surprising amount of variety between store demos. some have white label on the back of the card, like pookninja said. the label says that it's a demo and marks it NFR... but just because it has this sticker doesn't mean that it's a STORE demo. for example, the GDC version of brain age had this label, but was a full version of the game marked 'demo' for promo purposes.

some of the demos have demo/NFR marked on the front, but are actually just full versions of the games given to the stores for kiosks, but not limited in content. there's a lot of these.

other store demos (like metroid prime pinball) don't have the demo/NFR marking at all on the front label at all... and they're just full versions of the game... so it's like having a full version copy with a white label on the back.

you just have to learn what's out there...
