You think that's bad, read the manual.

Also the exact same cover art is used for Mobile Light Force on the PSX (in this case a localization of Gunbird).

One of my friends and I called XS games about this half jokingly. Eventually there was a "The gaming community demands answers!"* uttered though. It didn't end well.

LOL That's pretty damn funny. I wonder what's going to continue the series on the PS3 as Mobile Light Force 3?

After pissing off the people they were trying to cater to with their half assed localizations of Gunbird and Shikigami no Shiro, I think they're pretty much done with the Mobile Light Force series. The president of XS Games even denied taking responsibility for the shittastic jobs done on Gunbird and Sorcerer's Maze, instead blaming Four Winds.

ATTN XS Games: I doubt Four Winds named the characters after XS Games employees.

It's funny that MLF actually had all of the assets from the japanese release on the disc; they didn't bother removing anything. They just threw some quick hacks in to bypass the intro and omit the omake option, but if you pop the disc in your PC then you can still view and extract 'em.

Thankfully they did substantionally better with Castle Shikigami 2. The translation was a very literal and very direct translation with no effort what-so-ever to clean it up and edit it into proper english, which when combined with the almost bored tone of the voice actors, results in one of my favorite translations ever. There's even some lines that they forgot to dub, leading to even more hillarity.
