Lan Kwei merger

Anybody else notice that Lan Kwei is on hiatus as it merges with another "local company"?

I was discussing purchasing a Rez LE from them, but I hadn't paid, and then this happened. I've heard that in the past (1) they always seem to eventually deliver the product, even if (2) their customer service response is really crap. Although Asylum Seeker says that they are "shite", unfortunately without further explanation.

Anyway, apparently they will have the ability to take credit card orders when it's all said and done (I don't like dealing with Western Union). What do all y'all importers think about this?

I ordered 2 items from them in September 2002. I got one item fairly quickly, but they said the other was being shipped separately. After a while I tried everything to get in touch with someone there but never got anywhere. About 2 weeks ago they sent me an email saying they will refund that portion of my order.

My guess is that they advertise a lot of stuff on their site that they don't have but assume they can get. If you order something they don't have in stock, they don't ship it until they do get it which can take up to a year (so I've heard). Apparently, because of the merger they have to make good on all their sales now.

Anyway, none of that has much to do with your question, but that's my opinion of Lan-kwei.
