View Full Version : My "beginning of the end" sale..

.. in more ways than one. The last two weeks I've sold some of my consoles on evilBay. Now it's time to start offing the collection. The truth is my mother's cancer is starting to manifest itself and I want to take her on a little "vacation" before she starts becoming bed-ridden. I barely make enough at my piss-ass job to take care of myself and I really don't enjoy this whole scene at all anymore.. so it's time to get out.. and away. As time gets closer to the end of the year.. I'll be staying at home more.. so I also want to get back into upgrading my crappy 800Mhz PC I've used for 5 years.. so I'm gonna' do that as well. The Turbo Duo, White Saturn and NES top loader auctions crapped out yesterday and were going nowhere.. so I pulled them (gets kind of frustrating seeing two dozen yokuls watching your crap for 9 days and waiting to bid the last day even though you start the frickin' auction at 99 cents) they're still up for grabs if someone wants to throw me an offer.

I guess I should start by explaining my grading system.. it was only ever meant for me and my cataloguing (I never thought I'd be selling this crap) so it's kind of ambiguous. Basically.. there's 3 components to a game for me: the cart/CD; the box/case and the docs (usually just the manual). To me.. mint means factory shrink-wrapped.. nothing else. "Brand new" is a game that I bought "mint".. but opened up and examined and may have even tried out for a few minutes.. but it's no longer wrapped. Excellent is what MOST people call "mint". A cart has no label tears, or wear, and no marks. A CD is scratchless & mirror-like. A box or case is like new and the manual and docs are as well. Next down my system comes "good" it's a bit worn in all aspects. A CD may have a few scratches; but a cart is still clean and label intact. Minor wear on a box or case but the art inlays are still perfect. Manual may be a TINY bit creased.. but still unmarked or torn. After this.. grades are average (self-explanatory.. wear is equated to age); fair & poor. A label rip, tear, or permanent mark on a cart, case or manual is a mandatory downgrade to fair or poor depending on severity. CDs are judged according to amount of scratching but this part is all pretty much immaterial because hardly any of my stuff falls into those categories. I also don't use "complete" but merely list the contents since complete to me means a game includes any extraneous docs as well (i.e. warning pamphlets & reg cards). What's described is what there is. So it goes: Mint>brand-new>excellent>good>average>fair>poor. Also note when I judge a cart case or jewel case.. I'm ONLY commenting on the physical integrity of the case itself, NOT any art inlay inserts. In all cases of my games.. the art inlays are fine.. even if the case isn't (In other words.. you can change the case/jc out and be back to excellent again.). NES boxes may or may not have styro inserts (in most cases they do).

My descriptions always start with cart/CD, then case, then docs. If a component has no other description after it.. it matches the cart/CD. Here's a couple of examples:

Evolution Worlds -
excellent cond w/case & manual
.. this would mean everything is in excellent condition.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 -
excellent cond w/case & manual (good)
.. this would mean both the cart & case were excellent, but the manual is good.

The Guardian Legend -
good cond w/box & manual (excellent)
.. cart & box are good, but manual is excellent

.. and so on. I need to sell this stuff quick and preferabely in lots. Yes my prices are closer to eBs than DPs.. but like someone else said, please don't thread crap.. just move on if it's too much out of your price range. I WILL discount lots though.. and I WILL take offers. Like I said guys.. this is just the beginning.. I am going to keep some and if you want to see what ISN'T being sold (yes.. lots of good stuff as well) just look at my sig. It's all still there for the moment. I'll be keeping select RPGs and as always.. any "mecha" type or style games.

No PSX games because they're mostly going to eBay in a week or two along with whatever doesn't sell here. Look at my sig again though, for a heads up. I also have some memorabilia and special peripherals (i.e. controllers) to put up soon (with pics)

I can't take pictures of all this stuff and I WILL put some highlights up tomorrow (Conker especially) but if you have any specific questions about a game or want pics.. let me know and I'll try to accomodate you.

Payment has to be via PayPal and although shipping will be a "guesstimate".. I'll stick to it (I GOTTA' get a scale!). US and Canada only.. sorry folks.

I need money but I DO have a very small trade list:
