what video game board games do you play/have? I dont have any but I would really like doom with the expansion pack ( what year was this made in?) and legend of zelda.
I've got the Super Mario Board game (althouhg in German, so I don't really know whether it's the same statewise). And in the next few days, a Super Mario Card Game should arrive. I've never played the board game though, and I doubt I'll ever play the card game either.

Doom and the Expansion were released 2-3 years ago, and they are quite fun games. Although for a total of $90 for both combined (retail price) it's a pricey ride.
I have about 13-14 video game themed board games, and quite honestly, they aren't very good games. I still have some love for the old Pac-Man game, but most video game themed board games are cheap roll-and-move games. They are neat for the collection, but otherwise useless as games.
There's only one video game themed board game I want, and that's the Rockman themed version of Settlers of Catan. And if anyone can get a hold of this one LET ME KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

I've got a bunch that are doing nothing but taking up room in my gaming room. Ones that I can think of are:
Pacman
Zaxxon
Beserk
Q-Bert
I've never played any of them though, just picked them up because they were cheap.

I have Pac-Man and Zaxxon. These seems like the two most common board games that there are.
I've seen a Gradius board game in the same style as Zaxxon. I'd LOVE to get a hold of that one.

I used to have Donkey Kong and I recall it being quite fun, though it's been many years since I've played so maybe that's just nostalgia talking.
..and while it's based on a comic, I enjoyed the living shit out of Spy vs Spy. That game was an absolute blast.

ive got:
defender
pacman(two sets, one has blue ghosts;the other yellow)
ms pacman
super mario bros
centipede
double dragon
street fighter 2
popeye (based on the hit arcade game!)
tetris
zaxxon
one pacman card game and one pacman puzzle type game where you have to make pacman three different ways...
super mario bros quiz card game, too...
always looking for more!
these games intrigue me. why would anyone believe they could have as much fun with(and thus purchase or ask for) a board game based on a video game? those ive looked over are really uninspired, generally just knockoffs of other games, and ive never actually played any of them.

I have Pac-Man, Berzerk, Ms. Pac-Man, Zaxxon, and Donkey Kong.
Had Q*bert, but I lost most of it in the mid-80's.

I've got Turbo, don't even know if it's complete but it's neato anyway. Don't seem like much fun to play but are cool to display. Sometime I want to acquire a few more and screw around with them with my friends.
At first I though this thread was about board games that have been made into video games in which case I play monopoly party on xbox sometimes.
As for boardgames based off of videogames, I used to have Tetris the board game, I may not anymore though.

Holy hell, that HAS to be the greatest board game of all time. Settlers and Rockman, together at last. Settlers is the only board game I can play with old college friends, my girlfriend and her crew, and my parents.
I absolutely loved the Pac-Man and Centipede board games growing up, but I can't remember for the life of me how Centipede was played. Unfortunately, both were lost in a flood years back. The only vg-related game that survived that flood was Double Dragon, which is essentially unplayable (but somehow not as unplayable as the Home Alone 2 game).

I've got lots of them, for a long time in the mid-90's I was very active in hunting these down. In April 2002 I reviewed a few of them for my column in Tips & Tricks, see here:

Bear with me a second, I need to rant.
Nothing like a company squeezing $35 out of folks by sloppily pasting a theme on a $10 game (and not a good one at that).
Ok, rant over, if you have questions, please ask :D

I know, but the NES character token almost redeems it.
