Ok, when I was at Game-X-Change earlier, I bought a new SNES controller (Looking at the box, it's supposed to be the newer version with the Nintendo logo molded into it's shell (SNS-102, the harder to find version).
I pulled it out of it's box and discovered I was ripped off (I paid $7 for a damn-dirty-bootleg-peice-of-@#$% (TM). It had cheap plastic that looks like it would break easliy, had tuns of plastic burs, had the Nintendo logo molded poorly in it, and it said on the back that it's SNS-005, though it's supposed to be SNS-102.
It looks like this controller on eBay:

Anybody ever use a pirated SNES controller? I didn't because as soon as I realized I bought a cheap pile of @#%&, I returned it.
Also, can somebody show me a pic of what real Super NES Controllers (Both SNS-005 and SNS-102) look like? Thanks in advance

Ive seen those here in Mexico. Theyre cheap bootlegs and come in black boxes with a crocodile on them.
You can feel that the plastic is cheaper, but they work allright. I can take pics if you want! They sell them here for 7 dollars

I never knew about bootleg SNES controllers, but I assume you guys already know about the bootleg SNES systems that look EXACTLY (well almost) like the real ones. The controllers are most likely made from the same group.

Indeed. I got a kick out of the posters who denied the existence of such bootlegs. :)

Yea, almost every "new" SNES controller being sold on EBay is bootleg. There are ones in Mario/Yoshi boxes being sold as the "new" model controller but are also bootlegs. The box looks similar to the SNES box posted on the Nintendo forums link above. I have ordered a pair of bootleg controllers that are supposedly better than the average ones based on the user's feedback. Once I receive them, I'll post a review here.
I've never found a 3rd party controller on any system that I like. They never feel as good as original controllers and never work as well. It's hard finding good condition controllers for classic systems. Every now and then I'll scrape EBay for new, original controllers and buy those to keep on hand. Just picked up a brand new, original NES controller the other week!

I bought a couple of controllers like that from someone from this board a while back... they LOOKED legit but they were obvious rip-offs. They were too light, the buttons felt funny, and the directional pads were just plain shite. I bought them to go with a system I bought cheap to put on Ebay (sans controllers.) I made sure to list them as AFTERMARKET CONTROLLERS but I can't help but feel a bit guilty about sending those things out. They worked fine, but they just felt far, far cheaper than the real SNES controllers I have. I'm not sure they will hold up to a lot of use.
