If someone could take the time to take pics of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door in Composite and Component At these following parts in paper mario 2, I'd be more convinced of buying gamecube component cables:
1: The center square of rougeport
2: In professor frankly's house at the start of the game, When the in game camera zooms in on professor frankly and he says "Whuzzah?" (Don't keep going on in the conversation once he says "Whuzzah?" because i want the pic to be of him when he says that)
3: At the trail to the koopa village after the dragon flies by and goombella says "We've just started our adventure, and already there is intrigue!" (Don't skip what goombella says, I need the text box to be saying that)
And, if possible, i'd like pics of these scenes in S Video aswell, but that is optional.
Thanks. :)

Um, why just Paper Mario 2? You're going to see a huge leap in quality from any game going up from composite, even on a standard def.

Yes, but paper mario 2 is progressive scan compatible and i own a copy of it and i know how it looks on my 20" SDTV..
And BTW (For whoever will take comparision pics for me) The pics of paper mario 2 in component have to be in progrssive scan aswell.

Wind Waker would probably be a good game to do also.
Here's hoping for some pics!

I don't think people have time to switch in and out of these cables just to convince someone they don't know to buy a $50 cable.

I'm still bumping this topic though. I'm not going to pay much more than $30 shipped for one of these cables unless it makes it look so good that it makes me wonder what i thought "Clear" Meant.
I imagine it's worth it if you have a 52 inch HDTV or something like that.

Then don't. I don't think anyone really cares what cables you use.

Fuggin' A. Either you want the cable or you don't, and asking for such specific comparisons makes your request all that much more time-consuming and unrealistic. I really doubt another dozen bumps will yield what you're looking for unless someone's extremely bored and way too nice.

I really doubt you'd get cables for less than what Nintendo charges for them normally, at any rate.
If you have access to component on your tv, then there's no real reason not to get em.

I took the pictures, but it was with a Kodak Disc camera, and I don't know where to get the film developed.

this is one of silliest request I've seen for some time.
if one wanted the proof there are dozens of examples on the net.
all you have to do is searching for 'em.
now if you can't be ar~sed to do that then well you might as well stick with the composite...
be reasonable and don't expect people will bring their own food and spoon to feed you by hand out of their kindness?! @_*

I can think of one major reason. Why spend $50 for a cable now, if you plan on getting the Wii with component cable on November 19? Since the Wii plays all GC games, I'm putting my GC back in its box on 11-19 (providing I can find a Wii that's available). Think about it, that's wasting $50 for something that will be used for only 6 weeks.

That's the reason I have held off, or I'd have taken the plunge myself by now. Dying to see some of these GC games in 480p :).

If you plan on getting a Wii anytime within the next year don't bother with the cables, just play your GCN games on the Wii.
If you don't have and HDTV don't bother to get the cables either, it'd be a wast of money, unless you can get them for like $10, as a normal SDTV only displays 480i, so outputting games in 480p would be kind of pointless. You *might* see a slight difference, but I doubt it would be big enough to warrent the high cost of the hardware.
Here is the break down

only reason i can think of keeping the gamecube(havent read anything about the wii) is to use the GBA player on the soon-to-be-otherwise-defunct console
