My AE2 premium box arrived today from GAME UK, and I thought I'd upload some pics for anyone who's interested.

Game (duh) in PAL - this was packed on its own, but there's a space in the big box just the right size (http://www.sega-mega-cd-library.co.uk/Link%20Banners/Game.jpg)

Character Minifig - about 6cm high (http://www.sega-mega-cd-library.co.uk/Link%20Banners/Minifig.jpg)

Side 1 of statue (http://www.sega-mega-cd-library.co.uk/Link%20Banners/Fig%201.jpg)

Side 2 of statue (http://www.sega-mega-cd-library.co.uk/Link%20Banners/Fig%202.jpg)

Statue on musical base - I don't recognise the tune (http://www.sega-mega-cd-library.co.uk/Link%20Banners/Music.jpg)

So wait, I'm confused. You bought a Japanese Special edition that had been opened up and repackaged with a European release of the game?

Ditto. That's what it looks like!

Yes, exactly - though I didn't know it was a Japanese S.E. until it arrived yesterday. Here's the link:

How GAME got hold of these is beyond me. I'm starting to wonder about the art book that should come with my pre-order of Disgaea 2 from the same company.

To be fair, if you look closely at the pic on that page you can see the copy they are showing is the NTSC/J release :)

Its not possible to read that it says NTSC/J on the site. If you dont know the logo there is no way to know that its japanese from that picture.

What did game.co.uk said when u complained?

Yep, though when I made the order only the small rectangular box-out below the screenshots was shown, the pic at the bottom was added later. Heck, when I pre-ordered Disgaea 2 there was no mention of any freebie at the time, I only did it due to a lead from Eurogamer. There's pics of that on the listing now and it looks to be Japanese in origin as well.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about what I received. I'm not an importer so I have a nice, collectable item that I wouldn't have otherwise obtained. Plus I even paid a fiver plus shipping over the play.com price for the game to get the "free" stuff. The game *is* PAL, and it was sent separately in the shipping box, though there's a DVD-case sized gap in the premium box that must have help the NTSC-J game.

I just think it's odd that the UK's biggest specialist retailer is shipping out Japanese goodies, the only import you ever see in their high street shops are the odd US GBA game that someone has traded in. I'm also curious as to how it compares to the freebies for anyone who ordered the US version direct from Nippon Ichi America.

Yeah well, no one got a freaking statue/music box that's for sure. XD
