Hello everybody

I hope you can help me:

I'm collecting sealed PS-RPGs and usually the sealed cellophane is folded (Y-Seal) and that's the sign that it's really FACTORY SEALED. But are there some games out there where the cellophane is not folded? I never saw a folded cellophane at the following games:

Ogre Battle
Parasite Eve
Hoshigami
Vanguard Bandits

Maybe somebody can help me....it's really important :) I Don't want to buy any resealed games :)

Cheers

HMMM I suspect they have been resealed using a technique called vacuum packing, basically a thin sheet of plastic goes over the game and seals to form a seam.

OP - yes, there are plenty of PS1 games that are factory sealed with the "tighter" shrinkwrap and do not have the Y folds. I have plenty of them and can confirm they came this way since I bought them brand new like this.

One of the ways to tell if a game was resealed is to look for little tiny air holes in the shrinkwrap. Original factory sealed games much of the time had these whereas many reseals did/will not.

Vanguard had a hard shrink, as did Parasite Eve. My copy of Ogre was used so I've got no clue and I *Think* that Hoshigami had a hard shrink, but I don't remember from my company.

Another telltale sign is that hangtab on the back of the game. Everything PlayStation had that tag for a LONG time. If its not there but has a hard shrink you can tell that it 'was' there, and if it was a soft shrink and there isn't a tag your either going to have a big rip in the shrink where that tag used to be, or a reseal.
